I used to hate doing fillings. Even though it’s one of the most basic things that we dentists learn to do, it can be quite complex. It was frustrating having to keep the area dry and make sure filling material seals up the tooth just right… not over not under. And making sure the contacts (where the teeth touch each other on their sides) are adequate…. Ask any dentist how frustrating white fillings are to get a decent contact 🤬!

I made myself fall in love with doing each step as perfectly as humanly possible. I started to look at each case as a challenge and a chance to improve what was already good.

I started to take my time and pay attention to every step… and by respecting biology, the material I used and the instruments I have, I was able to get to the point that I am now.

Dentistry is all about attention to details and learning to respect every step of the process. No step is less important than the next… at least for quality work ❤️🦷
