Our fun friends from Palisades Episcopal School never fail to bring some J.O.Y to our Members when they come to visit! This group of kids loves to play games, share stories, and ask our Members loads of questions. ♟️ 🎲 🤣 Our J.O.Y. (Joining Older and Younger) program was created with that in mind, establishing connections with local area organizations to build intergenerational friendships. This season brings a whirlwind of to-dos — from holiday shopping and menu planning to simply keeping up with everyday life. It's easy to find yourself rushing from one thing to the next without a second to breathe. ✨

Our Members take a different approach, to slow down and soak in the special moments this time of year brings. 💚🤍💙

Our wellness program shifts from the easy-breezy outdoor classes we so loved during the warmer days to an indoor classes. The pace doesn't slow, but their focus deepens. Our wellness director steps up and creates a warm environment for Members to reconnect with what matters most, their well-being. 💪

Our Members love to dive into a new story, especially when they have been waiting on it at the library. Thankfully, the York County Library Bookmobile always shows up to bring them their new reads every two weeks! 🎉 Our bi-weekly visits are such a benefit for our Members because they can get their fresh stories delivered right to their front door. This month, Chef Jacob took Members to Japan with his amazing cooking demonstration! 🧑‍🍳He prepared a delicious and traditional yakitori dish! 🇯🇵 This dish consists of bite-sized pieces of chicken and vegetables skewered together, cooked over charcoal. 😋 He walked through each step of this dish so that Members could take the recipe home to their loved ones! Everyone was very impressed by this new-to-them dish and can't wait to see what Chef cooks up for them next month! ✨
