February is Age Related Macular Degeneration Awareness Month!
People over the age of 50 are at a higher risk of AMD, as are those who smoke and eat unhealthy. Genetics can also play a role if there is family history of AMD. Simple annual eye exams can be the key in early detection.

Happy First Day of Winter! As we enter Mother Natures harsh chill and frozen bliss, it is imperative to protect your eyes.
One might think that your eyes wouldn't suffer from dryness in the colder environment, but cold air can be just as drying then the summer months. Just like your skin needs moisturizing refreshment, so do your eyes. Hydrating drops can do wonders to keep those peepers fresh.
As beautiful as the snow can be on a sunny day, not wearing UV protection can have hazardous effects, as well as snow blindness from the harsh glare! So if you are out and about on a snowy day, grab some sunglasses and shade your eyes.
