With more availability at the clinic for Spring Health Month, it’s the perfect time to come in and take care of your health. Whether it’s your annual exam or something you’ve been putting off, we’re here for you. Ski season is winding down, which means we will be moving to our off-season schedule soon. March 28th will be our last Saturday clinic for the season and will return in early summer. Primary Care will still be open 8 to 5, Monday-Friday and our Emergency Department is always open 24/7.

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month and our team at Telluride Medical Center is showing up in blue.

Throughout the month you might see our staff wearing colon cancer awareness shirts and sharing a little SWAG with patients. We are using this time to start conversations about screening, prevention, and why early detection matters. Yes, the stress balls are a little funny, but they also help break the ice around a topic that can feel uncomfortable to talk about.

Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when it is caught early. Screening can find problems before they turn into cancer or detect cancer when it is easier to treat.

If you are 45 or older, it is a good time to talk with your provider about colon cancer screening options.
