This post is was prompted by someone who commented on my wrinkled shirt. Normally, it would bother me but I decided to explain myself and turn it into a reel. So, here I am about to tell you the story of photo shoot day….

My photographer, also a mom, had me rescheduled a few times due to her schedule and my own.

We made a weekday work and I knew it would be a doozy of a day because my daughter had to stay home from school (for a behavioral issue) and I had to do all the things to get ready while finishing up loose ends for my other work, which made me late 😩 to the photo shoot appointment.

Now, could I have edited my wrinkled shirts? Sure! But I didn’t and I know it looks sloppy. Believe me- it bugs me to no end that I grabbed this shirt and thought it would look presentable in photos—— I just needed to move forward.

If you’re waiting for perfect moments, things will never get done. I’ve learned that forward momentum is the only way to carry yourself in life.

PSA -this is perfect to me. I’m doing the damn thing with 4 kids, a full time job, 2 doodles and a couple businesses. And if you don’t like it, clear the way so I can move on and hustle hard.

This practice has changed me. I can’t quite describe it— but if I had to, I feel like I’m entering a new season, maybe? I can’t wait to share.

I discovered a great little indoor spot in Palm Desert to teach yoga. Friends who teach or any holistic practitioners will love this spot which is centrally located and has easy parking! Comment to let me know if interested in getting more info
