Blessings beautiful souls, I recently had the pleasure of sharing the space with HuNia Vinnetta Bradley, the Executive Director of Sexual Assault Advocacy Network, and Vylma V, on KPFA Radio 94.1. What an amazing opportunity!!! Take a listen to the show. Hunia dropped some amazing gems at the top of the show. If you’re in the Bay Area be sure to attend the event on April 25th.

I see you — and rebuilding trust after trauma is possible. Here are three common patterns I help survivors move through, with a quick coaching prompt and a calming Reiki practice for each. Withdrawal: coaching prompt — What small step can you take today to invite connection that feels safe? Reiki tip — Place hands over the heart and breathe for five slow counts, visualizing warmth opening. Hypervigilance: coaching prompt — Name two signs your body uses to tell you it’s triggered. Reiki tip — Scan calmly from head to chest with light hands, releasing tension on each exhale. Boundary confusion: coaching prompt — What is one clear “yes” and one clear “no” you can state this week? Reiki tip — Ground with hands on your lower abdomen and imagine roots growing into the earth. At Still Whole Wellness, I combine coaching and energy work so we address both your thoughts and your body’s response — a path toward secure, heartfelt connection. Want to try a focused session? 10 HARD TRUTHS ABOUT SEXUAL TRAUMA

If even one of these resonated with you share which one in the comments.
You’re not alone—and you’re not stuck.

This April, we’re moving beyond awareness and into integration.

Stay connected.

1. Sexual trauma doesn’t stay in the past

It lives in the body, the nervous system, and your patterns—until it is intentionally integrated.

2. Time does not heal trauma

Time can create distance… but without integration, the patterns remain.
(This is supported by trauma research in Trauma Psychology.)

3. You can be high-functioning and still deeply impacted

Success, intelligence, and independence do not mean you are unaffected.

4. Your triggers are not the problem—they are signals

They are pointing to something unresolved, not something “wrong” with you.

5. Avoidance feels like control—but it’s actually protection

And protection, when overused, can keep you from growth, intimacy, and expansion.

6. Trauma often shows up in relationships first

Not because relationships are the problem…
But because they mirror what has not yet been integrated.

7. You can understand your trauma and still repeat the pattern

Awareness alone does not create new behavior.

8. Your body may not feel safe even when your mind knows you are

This is why healing must include the nervous system—not just thoughts.
(A core concept in Polyvagal Theory.)

9. Boundaries will feel uncomfortable before they feel natural

Because you are disrupting patterns your system has relied on for survival.

10. Healing is not about becoming who you were before

It’s about becoming someone who can hold what happened—without being controlled by it.

You did the therapy.
You read the books.
You had the conversations.

So why does it still feel like something isn’t clicking?

Because awareness doesn’t automatically create transformation.

Most women don’t need more information…
they need a structure they can actually live.

That’s exactly why I created Still Whole.

This is the foundational framework behind The Alchemist Program (TAP)—
the same system I use to help women move from emotional survival into self-leadership.

Inside this guide, you’ll learn how to:
• Rebuild your identity after trauma
• Regulate your emotions in real time
• Strengthen your relationships and boundaries
• Align your life across all 5 pillars

This isn’t surface-level healing.
This is where the real work begins.

1. You learn how to feel safe in your own body again
Not just in your environment… but within yourself.

2. You stop over-identifying with what happened to you
Your story matters—but it is not your entire identity.

3. You build emotional regulation, not just awareness
Because knowing your triggers and managing them are two different things.

4. You redefine your relationships
No more overgiving, overexplaining, or abandoning yourself to be accepted.

5. You reconnect with your voice
Not the version of you that kept the peace… the version that tells the truth.

6. You create structure for your healing
Because growth without structure leads to repetition.

7. You allow yourself to want more
Peace. Stability. Love. Wealth. Joy.
You are not asking for too much—you just haven’t been shown how to hold it yet.

8. You stop surviving… and start leading your life
With intention. With clarity. With power.

If you’re in that space where survival isn’t enough anymore…

That’s not confusion.
That’s evolution.

And this is exactly the work I walk women through inside my framework.

If you’re ready for structure—not just inspiration—
my ebook Still Whole is where that journey begins.

You’re aware… but are you healing?

You’ve done the therapy.
You’ve read the books.
You understand what happened.

So why are you still triggered?

Because awareness is not transformation.

Healing begins when you decide:
“I will no longer live from what happened to me.”

Healing after trauma doesn’t have to mean rushing or “fixing” everything at once. I found that setting small, kind goals—like a 10-minute walk, a few minutes of mindful breathing, or writing one thing I’m grateful for—helped me reclaim pieces of myself.

This post shares gentle, practical steps for trauma recovery goal setting and ways to build a supportive environment: reach out to someone you trust, create a calming space, protect your energy, and celebrate every small win. Want ideas to start? Try a short walk three times a week, 5 minutes of meditation daily, reciting affirmations in the mirror each rising, or journaling each evening.

You are not alone. If you’re ready to explore holistic healing that blends life coaching and Reiki, visit the full post to learn more and find compassionate guidance tailored to your journey. 💛🌿
