April is Stress Awareness Month, and teens are telling us something important. In a CDC analysis of youth assessed for substance use disorder treatment, 73% said they used substances to feel "mellow, calm, or relaxed." Many also said they used to stop worrying or forget bad memories (44%) or to help with depression or anxiety (40%).

For schools, concert venues, and other places where teens hang out, the takeaway is simple. Blowing off stress can turn into risk fast when youth are using illicit street drugs or prescription medications, either not prescribed to them or not obtained from a certified pharmacy.

Make it easier to ask for help and build a plan for an opioid overdose emergency that staff can follow without hesitation. ODRescue™ helps teams put overdose response tools and training within reach of both bystanders and staff when seconds matter. Learn more at www.ODRescue.com

ODRescue™ exists for one reason: to make it easier to respond with the right tools to help when an opioid overdose happens.

We believe response tools should be easy to find, simple to use, and placed where life happens. Not locked away. Not hard to access. Just ready. You never want to need an ODRescue kit, like you never want to need a fire extinguisher. But if the moment comes, you'll be prepared.

Quick recap from the road: we had a great time connecting with Rotary leaders through Project SMART and the Rotary Action Group for Addiction Prevention North America.

We set up in Los Angeles and Dallas to share ODRescue™ tools and talk with Rotary Club members at the President-Elect Learning Seminars. You could feel the energy. Lots of questions, lots of heart, and a real desire to lead and do something that helps within their local communities.

We're incredibly grateful for partners who help turn concern into action. Learn more: www.odrescue.com.

A stark reminder that fentanyl can show up in places people would never expect. Earlier this week in Independence, MO, police say fentanyl was found taped inside the back packaging of several dolls sold at a local discount store. The dolls themselves were not altered, no injuries were reported, and authorities said all five compromised packages were recovered. Still, it's a jarring example of why "it could never happen here" is not a safety plan.

Preparedness is not panic. It's being ready to respond when seconds matter. Learn more at www.ODRescue.com

Counterfeit pills and mixed substances are a dangerous combo because you often cannot tell what you are getting. The DEA has warned that fake prescription pills are frequently made with fentanyl, and lab testing has found many contain a potentially lethal dose. Add in polysubstance use, mixing drugs intentionally or unintentionally, and the risk climbs fast.

The takeaway? Only use medications from a licensed pharmacy that are prescribed to you, avoid anything you cannot verify, and make sure help is easy to reach if an emergency happens.

Drug and Alcohol Facts Week reminder: fentanyl does not always look like a pill - it can show up in other street products, and you cannot see it, taste it, or smell it. The safest move is simple. Only take medications that come from a licensed pharmacy that are prescribed to you, and avoid anything you cannot verify.

Preparedness still matters, too. If something goes wrong, you want tools close and a plan you can follow fast. View our emergency solutions at https://okt.to/gmW5hw.

Most emergencies don't announce themselves. ODRescue™ Alert does.

When the kit is accessed, the box sounds an audible alarm to alert and draw help from nearby bystanders while simultaneously sending emergency notifications to designated responders with location details. Simple, visible, and built for the places people gather, the ODRescue Alert equips employees and bystanders with the power to respond to fentanyl poisoning opioid overdoses.
