Tommy Washington created Koma Massage as a mobile massage and wellness service focusing on athletes and people with medical conditions that are enhanced by massage. Why I do it? Being a former athlete I used to admire our sports medicine team. Looking back, I realized how much of a critical role they played to the success of our team. I took a lot of interest in sports medicine, but it wasn't my initial career choice. I was certain that I was destined to make it to the NFL, but God had a different plan for my life. Eight years ago I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, who was diagnosed at the age of one with Cerebral Palsy. This was a shocker, we had a full healthy pregnancy and never missed a doctors appointment. There was no warning that our child would be born with a disability. Being her father I instantly knew that I would not let this disability prevent her from living a life of quality. After going through physical therapy, I could see some improvements but knew that we still had a long road ahead of us. Soon after I realized what could be done to help speed up her progress, so I went to school to become a massage therapist. Not only would I be able to help speed up her progress, but I could also help change the progress in many other people's lives. Tommy D. Washington created Koma Massage as a mobile massage and wellness service focusing on athletes and people with medical conditions that are enhance by massage -- especially Fibromyalgia & Cerebral Palsy, a disease that my daughter has and inspired me to become a massage therapist. Goals for the future Our vision for the future is seemingly endless with all the open possibilities Massage has to benefit. We will be able to provide mobile Massage on demand within an hour, by booking an appointment through our downloadable app. Through our app you will also be able to see who your therapist is, and their estimated time of arrival. All of our therapist will be fully screened for any all types of criminal history to ensure the comfort of our clients. When clients sign up for a membership they will receive their own personal set of sheets to ensure that therapist will be able to setup quickly and efficiently upon arrival. Our ultimate goal is to educate clients and potential clients on the importance Massage can have on there everyday lives and activities. Soon Koma Massage will be a world wide name that is known for having the most honest, caring, and highest quality Massage therapist in the industry. We plan on being apart of all special events such as, marathons, ironmans, spartan races, weddings, birthday parties and much more. We would like for sports teams to be able to contract a team of massage therapist to assist them throughout the duration of there season, to ensure the safety and longevity of there athletes.
