Alignment across healthcare, transportation, and operations is no longer optionalโit is becoming foundational to how systems function.
This week, NEMTAC participated in two national convenings focused on that intersection:
* The ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ ๐ผ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ (๐ ๐๐) ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐, where discussions centered on care coordination, alternative response models, and the role of transportation in supporting access and system efficiency
* The ๐๐ก๐ฆ๐ ๐๐น๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, engaging with standards development organizations and industry leaders on how voluntary consensus standards support interoperability, system alignment, and innovation
A consistent theme across both events:
Systems are increasingly expected to operate as connected environmentsโnot isolated functions.
These discussions continue to inform NEMTACโs ongoing standards development work, particularly in:
* Levels of service and appropriate mode of transport
* Data exchange and interoperability
* Passenger verification and system accountability
