Meet Mae Aboalam, TBC’s newest Student Midwife Apprentice!
Hello, my name is Mae Aboalam. I am an Egyptian American, born and raised in New York and rooted in Arizona for over fifteen years. I am a daughter, sister, wife, and friend who values community, intentional living, and meaningful connection. When I’m not studying or working, you can usually find me hiking, cooking, thrifting, or playing a good game of chess.
My path to midwifery grew out of my interest in women’s health and holistic care. I studied nutrition and personal training, which gave me a strong foundation in how nourishment and movement support the body, especially during pregnancy and postpartum. Midwifery felt like a natural extension of this work — a way to support women through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives.
What motivates me most is helping women feel strong, supported, and confident in their bodies. I’m especially passionate about integrating nutrition, fitness, and sustainable habits into pregnancy and postpartum care to support healing and recovery. I believe birth is most powerful when families feel informed, respected, and deeply supported, and I’m honored to walk alongside them during this journey.
