To care about Black maternal health is to affirm that Black women deserve to be heard when they say something is wrong, to be treated with respect. It is about believing Black birthing bodies. It is about recognizing that every statistic represents a person—a mother, a daughter, a family forever changed.

Black maternal health matters because every mother matters. And until that truth is reflected in outcomes—not just intentions—the work remains unfinished.
