🤍 PRENATAL MOVEMENT 🤍

Curious to know the details? Here they are!

🤍Who: expectant parents who are TBC clients and the public

🤍What: Amber will guide you through gentle movements and breathing to help prepare you for birth and beyond

🤍When: Tuesday November 18th from 10-11:15am

🤍Where: at the Tempe Birth Center (feel free to park in the carport if there is room. If not, park in the small lot in the alley labeled with our logo. We have a great highlight reel for directions)

🤍Cost: this is FREE for TBC clients, $15 for the public

🤍What to bring: if you have a yoga mat you love, bring it. Amber will also be supplying mats and blankets. Bring a water bottle and wear comfy clothing

🤍Can partners come: absolutely!! At no extra cost

No previous experience required- ALL are welcome here!

Dear Families,

We are horrified by the situation around SNAP in our country. One in five children in this country relies on SNAP for food security. Although there are lots of ways that families can access food pantries, there is likely going to be more need than that can support.

We considered making food to give away here, but that seemed inefficient, (what with the terrible parking and all). Also, we have babies to catch.

We heard the idea online of connecting families to support one another directly and some of us have felt called to do so. We know a lot of families may be in a place to give and many who may be in a place of need - so we thought we might help pair up families so that givers can directly pay for the groceries of families in need. We will leave it up to you to arrange the exchange - you could provide grocery store gift cards, you could go (no judgement!) shopping together, you could exchange November grocery receipts for cash. We would merely connect the two families together. Mutual aid for the win.

Build community, fight facism.

The average Arizona SNAP (Nutrition Assistance) monthly payment for 2025 is approximately $360 per household. So if you are called to help out or receive assistance, please reach out via DM or email at hello@tempebirthcenter.com

If you want to directly donate pantry items or food, please bring them to a local food kitchen and see our post from a few days ago.

Join us for a Halloween-themed Baby & Me Yoga class Thursday from 11 to noon! We’ll have special toys and activities for the little ones to explore while the grown-ups fit in some stretching! We’ll end with a book and some snuggles.

Community, there’s going to be a lot of hungry bellies in our state as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits are being revoked. This is the result of the government shutdown as well as stricter work requirements to qualify.

The majority of people on SNAP are children. Followed by seniors and people with disabilities. The most vulnerable in our community will be the most affected.

Here is our feeble attempt to reach out and support our community; a short list of food banks throughout the valley. Use it, share it, save it.

The good news is, there’s an even broader list at WWW.AZFOODBANKS.ORG.

Every Food Bank is in need of donations and volunteers as well 🥫🍞🥬
