This month marks our 30th year of providing a higher standard of integrated care to Arizonans. Brothers Jason and Ridge Smidt, our founders, started Arizona Home Care and its infusion pharmacy in 1995, noticing a need for a patient-first approach to medicine in Maricopa. Proudly independent, we remain family-owned and operated after three decades of serving patients throughout the valley. We're so grateful for our incredible team of clinicians, pharmacists, and administrators, who allow us to provide a higher standard of care. Of course, we're also so thankful for every single Arizonan who has trusted us with the most important thing: their health.

Meet Amy White, RN. She is a West Valley Clinical Supervisor. She is on her 7th year of work with us.
Amy found Arizona Home Care/ Patient Care Infusion through an advertisement. She was looking for a weekday position that would give her some flexibility. She wanted to explore something new. "I had no idea that it would be my niche," Amy says. "I love home care. I love what it can bring to a patient's life. I love how effective it can be in helping someone learn to be more independent and aware of their own healthcare needs."

Her favorite part about working with us: "THE PEOPLE!!!"

"Love this team of people. The support I have witnessed over the years from field nurses, leadership, senior leadership is just amazing. Not sure you could get this working for some big company where you're a faceless name on a roster of nurses."

Amy was born in Michigan, but has lived in Arizona since 1985. Her first job in healthcare was at the age of 16. She worked in a file room for a medical imaging company.
After high school, Amy attended Glendale Community College. Originally, she was going to become a nuclear medicine tech. However, Amy realized that she didn't want to sit behind a machine. Instead, she wanted to be one-on-one with patients. This desire led her into nursing. She took a handful of years to complete nursing school. At 23, Amy was married and had her first child and then a second! After Amy's first year of floor nursing on the PCU cardiac floor at Banner Thunderbird, she moved into a charge nurse role with a rotating SWAT position.

Amy loved the adrenaline of the hospital and still loves the feeling of being in the hospital. That said, with a large growing active family, the hospital hours and weekend/holiday requirements were tough for her. She achieved her BSN through GCU about 6 years ago. She's now in the process of working towards becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Right now she is on a "break" because she had her fourth child in March. For Amy, her family is what is most important.

Say hello to Nancy Staff, SLP, Speech & Language Pathologist!

Nancy received her Masters degree in Communication Disorders in 1999 from Washington State University/Eastern WA University. She started her career in the school system specializing in autism. After moving to Arizona in 2003, she began working for various home health companies part time in the summer, in addition to her school job. In 2010 Nancy transitioned to full time home health at Arizona Home Care/PCI. At this time she was the only SLP covering the entire Valley (having a company car helped.) She took a brief break in 2016 when she was lured away to a “great” opportunity with another company. She soon realized that Arizona Home Care cant be beat and returned a couple months later as a PRN SLP, which gives her more flexibility. Nancy says, “As you can see, I have had multiple jobs over the years. I also have a bachelors degree is in Interior Design and I’m a Realtor. I like to keep busy!”

Nancy’s kids are grown. She has two grandchildren in Ohio that she loves spending time with. She enjoys hiking and bike riding (when its not so hot here). She also enjoys home remodeling/improvement projects and traveling.

Nancy says, “Arizona Home Care really is the best home health company around! The management is supportive, the company as a whole is organized and there is a friendly atmosphere. The communication and team work among all team members is exceptional. The office staff is great too, all the hard work behind the scenes keeps us going!” Nancy we are so happy to have you a part of the Arizona Home Care/PCI Team!

Halle Levy is excited to be joining Arizona Home Care/ Patient Care Infusion as a Medical Social Worker.

Halle grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Halle’s educational background includes a Bachelors degree in Communications from Ohio University. Halle also earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.

After college Halle moved to Chicago where she worked for several social service agencies focused on Jewish communal needs. Halle went on to work for the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.

In that capacity, Halle led a pilot program which provided immediate crisis intervention services for disadvantaged populations. The Open Door program ultimately grew to 5 offices statewide.

Halle continued her career by working for some smaller social service agencies, where she led development
and grant administration efforts.

Halle was introduced to Arizona Home Care by a chance meeting with Jennifer Underhill on a flight from Washington D.C. to Phoenix. They struck up a conversation across the seats, which led to Halle exploring opportunities to get back in to direct social work services.

Halle moved to Phoenix in June 2019, as her husband Scott was starting a new job as Senior Manager of Global Security for Mayo Clinic. Halle resides in Phoenix with Scott and their children Ross (6) and Brynn (3). We are so happy to have Halle as a part of our team.

Meet Jared Kitamura, Physical Therapist.

Jared has worked at Arizona Home Care/Patient Care Infusion for 12 years. He was born and raised in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. He attended college at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque and received his Physical Therapy degree from A.T. Still University, in Mesa, AZ. He met his wife, Lorraine, in PT school. They have three sons. Jaxon (8), Cruze (7), and Hendrix (2). Prior to coming to Arizona Home Care, he was working at an out-patient orthopedic therapy clinic in Mesa.

"I was tired of the out-patient setting, and I wanted to work with patients one on one,” he says of his decision to join us.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.
“When I’m not working, my wife and I are trying to keep my kids from killing each other/themselves, or from burning down the house. I also enjoy going to D-backs games, and attending my kid’s soccer, baseball, and basketball games.”

He loves his team at AZHC/PCI. “I enjoy working at Arizona Home Care because of the great people that work for this company at every level. This job also allows me to meet many new and interesting people, and help make their lives better.”

We’re lucky to have you, Jared!

Mollie is an RN case manager and new to the Arizona Home Care/ Patient Care Infusion family.

“I’ve only been here about 2 months,” she says. Mollie graduated from ASU with her Bachelor’s in nursing in 2016, and obtained her Master’s in Care Coordination in 2019. She has been a nurse for 4 years and loves it! She is originally from Pittsburgh. “Go Steelers!!” she says. In 2009, she moved to Arizona with her family.

While she doesn’t have a family of her own, she has an amazing dog named Bubbie, who she calls her“baby.” Her immediate family lives in Arizona. Her parents are in Anthem and her older brother is in Phoenix. In her free time she likes to play video games, hike, and travel. “I’m planning a trip next summer to go back to my roots and visit the land my family is from, and stay with family that I have still there,” she says.

Mollie came to AZHC/PCI through a recruiter.

"Everyone is super nice and helpful!” she says of working here. “I love being able to contact my supervisor if I need to or another nurse for assistance. The ‘small’ family of employees and owners are what really drew me to the company.”

Welcome to the team, Mollie!
