Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction, Teaching and Learning, Behavior Analyst Focus. Earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology 2009. Owner of Autism Guidance Consulting. 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certified, Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), Prevention & Support Certified. I’ve always been fascinated with Psychology, the human mind and why people do what they do. It all started when my parents took in foster children with emotional and behavioral issues & adopted one with special needs. Empathy, patience and understanding was something that came second nature to me, especially while working with children. My love for children kept growing & I began to question the role on environment vs. genetics, nurture vs. In 2007 I started working with children with Autism and studying under a Board Certified Behavior Analyst while pursing my Bachelor degree in Psychology. My curiosity kept growing. I just kept wanting to learn more. Several years later I discovered health & nutrition, yoga, meditation, spirituality, nature, our connection to thoughts & emotions and how it affects us on a physical level. It was then that a whole new world opened up for me. After receiving my Master’s in 2013, I decided to start my own company: Autism Guidance Consulting. I started out providing Behavioral Based Therapy, but then transitioned into teaching my Autistic clients yoga using a therapeutic and sensory based approach. Dedication, perseverance, continuous learning, passion and love for what I do created my vision. One must have passion for this type of work in order to be successful. I love the progress my clients make and witnessing their transformations, that is the most rewarding feeling for me. Helping people, knowing that I am making a difference in someone else’s life is my purpose.
