The Real Reason I Opened Amicus Health & Wellness 💡✨

😊 Hi everyone, Dr. Saleh here from Amicus Health and Wellness in Tempe, Arizona.

🌱 Every day I’m reminded why I opened this practice earlier this year. The mental health wait times were simply too long. Too many people were waiting weeks or months just to be seen — and that never sat right with me.

🧠 So I decided to build a space where access, compassion, and evidence-based care come first.

Here’s what drives our mission:

• Shorter wait times so patients get help when they need it

• A passion for bridging gaps in mental health access

• Decades of medical experience in both family medicine and psychiatry

🌍 My background spans:

• Medical training abroad in Africa as family physician

• Masters in public health epidemiology from Saint Louis University, Missouri and Florida International University

• Extensive psychiatric experience across diverse cultures and settings

💬 At Amicus, we provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for:

• Anxiety

• Depression

• ADHD

• PTSD

• Bipolar disorder

• Mood disorders

• One year ago, Amicus Health and Wellness was born out of a simple truth I kept hearing from patients again and again: “I waited weeks just to be seen.”

• Four weeks. Six weeks. Sometimes more. The gap in access to mental health care wasn’t just inconvenient — it was painful for people who needed help now.

• That’s why I founded Amicus with one mission in mind: bridge the gap and create real access to mental health services in our community.

• We officially opened our doors earlier this year here in Tempe, Arizona — and every day since, we’ve been focused on providing care without unnecessary delays.

• Today, our team provides mental health assessments, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ADHD testing using QBTest technology, brief therapy, and support for opioid use disorder with Suboxone.

• We regularly treat conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia — because people deserve timely, compassionate, evidence-based care.
