Therapy is about being creative in the moment in order to meet your clients needs. When client is in crisis a clinician doesn’t go into crisis also, they practice what they preach. Take a deep breath, ground themselves, become mindful of resources available to help cope with the moment. This standing desk ‘wobble board’ meant to help with focus and concentration helped my client to get out of their head and back into their body by rocking back and forth, from side to side. It helped them to get away from the painful memory they were in and back to the ‘safe space’ of the therapists office. It also took trust and rapport with their clinician to follow their suggestion in order to do what was necessary.

During these we can all practice a little more mindfulness and focus on our breathing. AND, if/when necessary meet with a qualified mental health professional.
