Instructor favorite and least favorite on the Reformer 💛

We asked our instructors to share their go-to reformer exercise… and Eve’s Lunge made the list.

Why? Tight hip flexors are real - especially if you sit, drive, or live on your phone all day.

Short answer: In most cases, yes!

Pilates can be incredibly beneficial during pregnancy - when done safely.

💛Pilates can help:

• Support your pelvic floor
• Reduce back and hip discomfort
• Improve posture
• Prepare your body for labor
• Support recovery postpartum

It’s low-impact, controlled, and focused on breath - which makes it ideal for many expecting moms.

⚠️ A few important things to note

Before starting or continuing Pilates:

✔️ Get clearance from your OB-GYN or midwife
✔️ Let your instructor know you’re pregnant
✔️ Work with someone trained in prenatal modifications

Every pregnancy is different!

🔄 Common modifications

As pregnancy progresses, instructors will usually:

• Avoid long periods lying flat on your back (after first trimester)
• Modify intense abdominal exercises
• Reduce deep twisting
• Focus more on stability than intensity
• Prioritize breath and pelvic floor coordination

If you’re having a healthy pregnancy and feel good, Pilates can be one of the best forms of movement you do while pregnant.
