Not all weight loss surgeries work the same… and this one is one of the strongest tools we have.

The duodenal switch and SADI-S do two things:
Reduce your stomach
And reduce how much your body absorbs

Less hunger.
Less absorption.
More results.

But this isn’t for everyone.

It’s typically for patients who need more support
after a sleeve, with higher weight, or with type 2 diabetes.

The right tool matters.

If what you’ve tried hasn’t worked, it may be time for a different approach.

If you’ve been struggling with your weight and feel like nothing is working… you’re not alone.

Gastric bypass is designed to help your body work with you—by reducing portion size, changing how calories are absorbed, and improving hunger hormones.

For many patients, it’s life-changing.

The first step is understanding your options.

Weight loss isn’t just about eating less. For many patients, it’s about finally working with their biology instead of against it.

The gastric sleeve changes more than stomach size. It helps reduce the hormones that drive constant hunger and cravings, making it easier to feel satisfied with less.

That’s why patients often say it’s not just physical restriction… it’s relief.

Less food noise.
More control.
A real chance at long-term change.

And beyond the scale, it can significantly improve conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea.

If nothing has worked long-term, it may not be a discipline problem. Your body may simply need a different approach. 💛

During Obesity Care Week, I stand with patients, families, and providers across the country to say this clearly:
Obesity is a chronic disease — and it deserves real medical care, not judgment.

Every patient. Every story. Every step.

I pledge to support accessible, affordable, respectful, and compassionate care for individuals affected by obesity.
By taking this pledge, I commit to:
    •    Raising awareness about the challenges of obesity as a chronic disease.
    •    Advocating for improved policies that expand access to effective, evidence-based care.
    •    Treating everyone with respect and compassion, free from stigma or bias.
    •    Encouraging meaningful conversations about the importance of health and well-being.
Together, we can create a future where everyone has the opportunity to achieve and maintain better health.

I commit to care. 🤍

Inside my OR, it’s calm, focused, and very precise.

You’re fully asleep and monitored the entire time. I make a few small incisions and perform the procedure using robotic-assisted surgery. The instruments move in millimeters, not inches, while I control every movement from a console with a magnified view.

We’re not just changing stomach size. We’re changing the hormone signals that regulate hunger and fullness.

And yes… there may even be a little Bad Bunny playing in the background. Good energy. Serious medicine.

You wake up with small incisions and a new metabolic starting point. Most patients are up and walking the same day.
