Cancer is not just a physical illness. Cancer affects every part of an individual's life, including emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Join us for a virtual workshop with Lindsay Levenson, LMFT where we will explore the connection between cancer and trauma, shedding light on how diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship can trigger or exacerbate trauma. Open to all healthcare providers, mental health professionals, caregivers, and survivors, this session will help us all will gain valuable insights and tools to navigate cancer care with empathy and trauma-awareness. ☺️❤️‍🩹

Wow!! 🤩 You all made an incredible impact this Sunday at the annual Walk for Cancer, thank you! Not only did we have an absolute blast but we turned the vineyards pink to bring awareness to breast cancer. All the funds raised for the walk will help those impacted by cancer here in SLO County. Thank you for spending the day with us and we’ll see you on the trail again next year! 💗👟

Navigating the ins and outs of breast reconstruction can feel overwhelming. 🩷 We are pleased to share an opportunity to join an online workshop featuring Dr. Lisa L. Jewell from South Bay Plastic Surgeons on Monday, October 27. In this session, Dr. Jewell will guide participants through various breast reconstruction options following a lumpectomy or mastectomy and provide insights on when to consult a plastic surgeon. There will also be a dedicated segment for questions. Join us to empower yourself with essential resources and knowledge!⭐⭐⭐

Here at Cancer Support Community CA Central Coast we offer support to patients, families, and caregivers impacted by cancer in SLO County at no cost to them. 🥰 We offer over 25 programs and services including support groups, counseling, healthy lifestyle classes, educational workshops, social activities, helpful resources and referrals, and much more. Our aim is to create a supportive environment that embraces cancer patients, their families, and caregivers throughout every step of their journey, so no one faces cancer alone! 💛💛💛
