CHCS at the Washington County Health Fair 💙

On March 7th, CHCS was proud to participate in the Washington County Health Fair held at the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County. During the event, our team provided blood pressure and blood sugar screenings to community members and shared important health information.

This wonderful event was hosted by the Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center and State Representative Mack Jackson.

CHCS is always grateful for opportunities to connect with the community and help promote preventive health and wellness.

Did you know you can screen for colon cancer from the comfort of your home? The Cologuard test is a noninvasive screening option that helps detect signs of Colorectal Cancer.

Screening is recommended starting at age 45 for adults at average risk. If results are negative, the test is typically repeated every 3 years. If a result is positive, a follow-up colonoscopy may be needed.

Let's talk about Endometriosis.....

Endometriosis is a condition that affects millions of women worldwide, and yet it is often misunderstood or underdiagnosed. It happens when tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus (the endometrium) grows outside the uterus, typically on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or other organs in the pelvis. Heart Health Education in the Community ❤️

Last month, in recognition of American Heart Month, CHCS Health Education Specialist, Camesha Grant, presented important information about heart health to the Second Washington Baptist Association Women's Auxiliary.

The presentation focused on ways to protect and improve heart health through healthy eating, regular physical activity, managing blood pressure, and recognizing risk factors for heart disease.

CHCS is proud to support our community by providing education that empowers individuals to make healthier lifestyle choices and take steps toward preventing heart disease.

In addition, CHCS also provides a 340(b) pharmacy, pharmacy delivery. podiatry, gynecology, telehealth, chronic care management, health education, disease prevention programs, community outreach, and enrollment services. We accept patients without insurance as well as patients with insurance. We accept all forms of insurance and strongly believe our clients have the right to quality care that meets their needs regardless of ability to pay.
