Gentle Support for Breech Positioning
When a baby settles into a breech or transverse position, it often means the body needs a little more space, softness, and flow. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the most supportive tools for this is the use of moxibustion at UB67, known as Zhi Yin.
Where is UB67?
UB67 is located at the outer corner of the little toe, right at the edge of the nail. This small point carries a strong effect in TCM for encouraging movement, balance, and alignment within the pelvis and uterus.
Why UB67?
For centuries, moxibustion at UB67 has been used by midwives, acupuncturists, and traditional healers to gently support movement and mobility within the womb, relaxation of uterine and pelvic tension, and the creation of more spaciousness for the baby to explore rotating head-down.
This technique is not about forcing anything. It is about inviting balance, warmth, circulation, and a calmer nervous system, which naturally supports the body and baby.
What a session feels like
A small cone or stick of warming moxa is held near UB67 for several minutes, creating a soothing heat that encourages flow along the Bladder meridian and into the pelvic bowl. Many mothers feel the baby shift or move afterward.
A holistic approach
At Agape Healing Arts, sessions may include gentle abdominal and pelvic massage, uterine balancing techniques, moxa at UB67, acupuncture, and breathwork to support both mother and baby.
Every pregnancy is unique. Some babies turn quickly, others wait until the last moment, and some choose a different path. All are supported with respect and care.
