I need to make a post and its very unfortunate that this does need to be posted, but here we are.
1. HIPAA does apply to massage therapy. Under no circumstances are clients to walk behind or attempt to walk behind either of my desks at an attempt to see my laptop/schedule. I am not legally allowed to disclose client information. This includes but is not limited to personal information, names, appointment days/times etc.
2. Demanding I see you, demanding my time, attempting to guilt me into seeing you, and any other similar behavior will not be tolerated. This has unfortunately been the behavior I have experienced from multiple people over the last few months. I am and have been booked at very least a week and half ahead and have clients on a waitlist. I have made that very clear over the entirety of my time open.
Things like "I guess I will suffer" "oh but its just one appointment" etc are extremely disrespectful of myself and my time. I am already available 7 days a week. I rarely get a full day off as it is and I am in no way complaining about that. I feel so very blessed to have the amazing and respectful client base that I have. π
From Christmas to New Years, I posted ahead of time, multiple times, about being off for the holidays and moving my entire business. Regardless that I was closed, regardless that I made multiple posts and let everyone that was in the shop early December know about my time off and why, regardless of it being a holiday and I have children- I had MANY people texting and calling- yes begging and demanding I open my shop... it wasn't even set up yet π
I have done my very best to accommodate schedules, I come in early if I can, I stay late, Im open on Sundays..
I do not charge cancelation fees, I have loyalty cards, I give random discounts out to my regulars, I do hands on time for the full time slot (example: some places book you for 60 mins but hands on time is only 50 mins.. I do the full 60 and eat the time for getting on and off the table/getting dressed etc) and the way I have been treated and spoken to at times is honestly such a shame. This behavior will remove you from my client list in the future, effective today.
3. If you have issues booking, you can text me anytime at 301-616-8443. I will do my best to make sure the online booking works you and I Will ensure you are scheduled before our conversation ends. But you must reach out. I cannot always answer calls, but if you send me a text, I will get back to you as soon as I can! If you do not reach out, i am unaware of issues or the desire to book with me.
4. I opened October 2024. I have never been able to accept walk ins. Yall have kept me BUSY from the get go. π if I am at the shop without a client or a booking scheduled soon...and someone happens to stop by, then I absolutely would! Unfortunately this is RARELY the case.
Again, I have a waitlist because I stay booked. I am so thankful yet I deeply apologize that I cannot be available for walkin sessions.
