🥦 March is National Nutrition Month!

Healthy habits start early—and nutrition education helps students learn how to fuel their bodies, focus in the classroom, and build habits that last a lifetime.

This year, hundreds of students in our community have already participated in CHP nutrition lessons, learning practical skills that support their health both inside and outside of school.

We 🫶 celebrating National Nutrition Month with the Davis Park 4th graders by creating snackle boxes!
After five weeks of hands-on nutrition lessons about building balanced meals and healthy habits, students celebrated by assembling their own snackle boxes filled with nutritious options.

There is so much that the Coordinated Health Program’s Team is thankful this year.

Because of the incredible generosity of this community, 245 families will be able to sit around a table together and share a full holiday meal. We raised over $9,000 in just one week, a true testament to the heart of the Wabash Valley.

The Coordinated Health Program’s mission is to support children and their families so our community can be healthier, stronger, and more connected. Food security is a core priority for us, and sadly, far too many of our neighbors are facing hunger this year.

But this project reminded us of something powerful: when our community comes together, we can meet those needs with compassion and hope. 🧡🧡🧡🧡

This effort took a village and what a village it is. We are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who helped bring this initiative to life:

🦃 100 generous donors and a special shout-out to Common Ground Yoga for matching donations from their clients.

🦃Baesler's Market, our incredible partner, for curating robust meal boxes at such a low cost that we could stretch our dollars even further. They also opened their facilities for packing and provided transportation for delivery.

🦃Manna from Seven provided their massive box truck and time to deliver the meals in one efficent, drop off route.

🦃Our amazing box-stuffing volunteers, who gave up their Sunday afternoon to prepare the boxes with so much care.

🦃Union Health Foundation, for providing a secure, seamless donation platform and managing funds to ensure every dollar made an impact.

Thank you, Wabash Valley.

Your generosity filled tables and hearts this Thanksgiving. 🧡
