The Terre Haute Turkey Trot will take place the morning of Thanksgiving (Nov. 27th) in downtown Terre Haute and features both a 5k and 1 mile!

Hey runners need a warm up race before the Turkey Trot? Check out our friend's race which is just down the street. The Brat Trot hosted by Immanuel Lutheran Church is a fun 5k and 1 mile taking place on Oct. 11th!

They have a special beer challenge 5k where participants must drink a small amount of beer each lap and they also have a regular 5k without the beer and a 1 mile event as well.

The race is very family friendly and a lot of fun so I encourage you to check out their registration and page! Both are posted below!

Registration is now open for the 2025 Terre Haute Turkey Trot!

Register early to reserve your spot at the start line for the largest timed 5k in Terre Haute!

Last year we had 850 registrants and donated 8,391 lbs of food to our local food pantries. Help us blow those statistics out of the water this Thanksgiving!

The Terre Haute Turkey Trot is on Thursday November 28, 2024. It includes the following events: 5K - No Canned Good Donation, 5K - With 5 Canned Good Donation, 1 Mile - With 5 Canned Good Donation, and 1 Mile - No Canned Good Donation.

We are incredibly happy to announce that this year we smashed all previous donation records! This year the Terre Haute Turkey Trot was able to donate 8,391 lbs of food to our local food pantries to help feed those in need in our community!

Yesterday we were blown away with a record year of 850 participants! We are still counting cans but we will send out the total donations received soon. We are predicting over 8,500 lbs of food were raised for our community!

This will by far be the largest Terre Haute Turkey Trot ever! We are currently trending to have over 800 participants. If you haven't registered yet for the race you still have time. And to make race day extremely easy on you I would highly encourage you to attend tonight's packet pickup which will take place at The Station Terre Haute from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

It's just 2 days until race day! As a friendly reminder packet pickup for both our pre-packet pickup and race day packet pickup will take place at The Station Terre Haute!

If you signed up for the discounted registration which requires you to bring 5 canned goods please remember to bring those. You will not be able to pickup a discounted registration without your canned goods.

- Parking: Downtown Terre Haute and Streets in front of the Station (you will not be able to park on 9th, Cherry, or the streets of ISU's campus on race day)

Thursday: 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
- Parking: Wabash and downtown streets not blocked off for the race course. 9th, Cherry, and streets around ISU will be blocked off to vehicle traffic.

Hautians we just surpassed our record participant and fundraising levels! And we still have a week until race day! Currently we’re sitting at 608 participants and I’m predicting we’ll have well over 700 on race day.

We are so pumped at this community’s ability to come together to help Feed Those In Need! Looking forward to smashing last year’s record of 7,000 lbs of food raised together!
