IRHA’s Data Committee has released the 2025 Indiana State Rural Health Report. This comprehensive overview examines key factors shaping the health of rural Hoosiers, including social determinants of health, access to care, chronic disease trends, behavioral health, maternal and infant health, and telehealth infrastructure.

Amid ongoing challenges, the report also highlights promising innovations—such as the growth of Mobile Integrated Health programs and new investments designed to strengthen rural health systems.

PLEASE SHARE: Warming shelters and centers are open across Indiana for any Hoosier who needs to get out of the cold.

Shelters are a safe place for anyone needing to get out of the cold for a few hours or to stay overnight. Hoosiers who need additional assistance can call 2-1-1.

These priorities guide our work to secure fair reimbursement, protect essential programs like 340B, reduce administrative barriers, grow education and training pathways, and advance critical infrastructure across rural Indiana.
