Founded in 1985 as a 501(c)3, Union Health Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of healthcare services in our communities.

Union Health Foundation provides funding for medical equipment, continuing education, patient assistance programs, healthcare services and community health initiatives. The VCSC Weekend Meal Program is helping ensure students experiencing food insecurity have access to meals even when school is not in session 🍎

Weekend meal packs filled with balanced, shelf-stable foods help students return to school on Monday ready to learn, focus, and thrive 📚

We’re excited to help launch the VCSC Weekend Meal Program 🎉 — a new initiative through a partnership with Vigo County School Corporation Coordinated Health Program, Vigo County School Corporation, and Union Health Foundation that helps ensure students experiencing food insecurity have access to meals when school is not in session.

With 24% of youth in Vigo County experiencing food insecurity and many VCSC schools serving a high percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price meals, this program will provide weekend meal packs with shelf-stable, balanced foods for students who need them most 🍎🥪

This program is launching thanks to a lead gift from Maryland Community Church, helping bring weekend meals to students across the district.

These chairs play a vital role in patient care by supporting safe and comfortable movement throughout our hospitals and clinics while helping our care teams deliver the best possible experience for patients.
