Another exciting update from our One Community. Under One Roof. Capital Campaign! 💙

We would like to extend a big thank you to Double D Signs, Inc. for creating the beautiful new sign for our renovated location. It’s wonderful to collaborate with local businesses that do such fantastic work! 👏

Good things are happening at Community Support Systems 🌟

We’re excited to share concept designs from our partners at Utz and Associates Architects P.C. as we plan for our future space. Every detail is being designed with the people we serve, our staff, and our community in mind.

The vision is coming to life, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone in!

We were pleased to host Jesus Ortega, Illinois State Director for USDA Rural Development, along with Wabash Communications CO-OP administrators and additional members of the USDA Rural Development team, at our Harvester location to see the renovation progress firsthand.

This project is an investment in the future of the people we serve and in the vital services that strengthen our community. We are grateful for the partnerships and support that have made this renovation possible, including the interest-free Rural Economic Development Loan through USDA Rural Development, with sponsorship from Wabash Communications.

It was a great opportunity to share our vision, walk through the space, and talk about how this updated location will enhance opportunities to Live, Learn, Work, and Play for years to come.

We can’t wait to welcome Jesus and the others back once the project is complete to see the finished transformation! 💙

Exciting news! Our day programs will be open tomorrow, Thursday, January 29th, and we will be running all of our bus routes in their entirety. We look forward to seeing everyone back tomorrow!

Our day programs will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28.

We’ll only be running routes within the town limits of Effingham, Teutopolis, Newton, Montrose, Sigel, and Watson tomorrow.

If you live outside those limits, you’re still welcome to attend—you’ll just need to provide your own transportation to and from CSS.

We hope to see you tomorrow!

We are deeply grateful to the Niebrugge family, the family of Sara Niebrugge, for their meaningful memorial donations in her honor in support of our Intermittent CILA program. 💙

These gifts honor Sara’s life and the remarkable journey she took, one of resilience, growth, and independence. Through the Intermittent CILA program, Sara built confidence, embraced independence, and inspired those around her with her determination and strength.

Because of support like this, we are able to continue providing individuals with the tools, encouragement, and support they need to pursue independence and achieve their goals.

Thank you, Niebrugge family, for honoring Sara’s legacy in such a thoughtful way. Her story continues to inspire our community, and your generosity ensures that impact will live on.

CSS returned to OneEighty Effingham and had a blast! 🎉

The Community Day Service group had an amazing day with activities for every interest. We’re grateful to have opportunities like this for connection and joy while our new building is underway. Just look at those smiles! We can't wait to go back.
