A few individuals in the Intermittent CILA Program had zip lining on their bucket list, so we took a trip to Shawnee Bluffs Canopy Tour to make it happen! The group had an incredible time experiencing the beautiful views, conquering fears, and encouraging one another throughout the adventure. It was truly inspiring to see the teamwork and support shine.

Something beautiful is brewing at Joe Sippers Cafe! 🎨☕ Starting Monday, November 3rd, the walls will be filled with color and creativity as the CSS Fall Art Show returns.

Each painting is a one-of-a-kind piece crafted by CSS Artists and available for $30, with all proceeds going right back to the creators.

Stop by anytime between November 3rd and December 6th to sip, snack, and support local art!

The Intermittent CILA group took their adventures to St. Louis! 🌆
After enjoying lunch at City Foundry STL, they headed to the Museum of Illusions - St. Louis for an interactive and mind-bending experience. 😄🌀 It was a day full of laughter, great food, and optical fun!

The retirement crew decided to haunt the halls before decking them! 👻🎄 They had a frightfully festive time turning their Christmas tree into a ghost before decking it out for the holidays. Halloween today, Christmas on standby... it’s the best of both worlds!

Haunted Hayride Fun 🎃

Community Day Service participants were invited to Del and Diana Althoff’s home for a spooktacular haunted hayride. Afterward, everyone made their way down to their pond to feed the catfish. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors, good company, and a little fall fun.

We’re very thankful to the Althoffs for the invitation and for making it such a special day! 💙

A few of the guys recently had a trip to remember! 🦌🌲🎳

Their adventure included exploring and lodging at Wildlife Prairie Park in Hanna City, visiting the Peoria Riverfront Museum, enjoying great meals at Khaki Jacks and Dog Haus Biergarten Peoria, and even fit in some bowling and plenty of smiles along the way.

It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and enjoy new experiences, all without leaving Illinois! 🌾

🚁✨ The Intermittent CILA group had an unforgettable day at the Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana! After exploring the sights and enjoying the festivities, they decided to try something completely new; a helicopter ride!

Everyone felt a few butterflies at first, but once they lifted off, excitement took over. The views were incredible, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the trip! 🌉💚

☀️ Nothing beats a beautiful day spent outdoors! The CDS group has been loving the sunshine and fresh air outside Centenary United Methodist Church Effingham, IL.

We are incredibly grateful to CUMC for welcoming us during our remodel! We can’t wait for our renovations to be completed next spring, so we can relax and soak up the sun in our own revitalized outdoor space! 🌳💚

The Intermittent CILA group had an unforgettable time on their annual camping trip to Shawnee Pines Lodging in southern Illinois! 🌲✨

The smiles in these photos say it all. They filled the days with hiking, side-by-side rides, rock painting to spread joy, swimming, fishing, kayaking, games, s’mores, deer spotting, and plenty of laughter. And as always, the food, hospitality, and time together made the trip a resounding success.

A heartfelt thank you to Thad and Tommi Jurgens and friends for opening up their beautiful property and making CSS feel so welcome year after year. It’s truly amazing to see so many people come together to make this trip special for the Intermittent CILA group and create memories that will last a lifetime. 💙

🎃🍂 CSS LOVES Hartke Pumpkin Farm! 🍂🎃

Ladies from CSS's Residential group had the best time enjoying everything Hartke Pumpkin Farm has to offer, and we couldn’t resist sharing some smiles from the day! From picking pumpkins to soaking in the fall atmosphere, the fun never stops there.

We’ve had many groups visiting since the farm first opened this season, and each visit has been filled with laughter, smiles, and festive memories. Thank you, Hartke Pumpkin Farm, for welcoming us year after year—it’s always a highlight of our fall!
