Riverview Behavioral Health Hospital

Riverview Behavioral Health Hospital Riverview Behavioral health is a full-service mental health treatment center in Texarkana that provides for adolescents, and adults.

Our main objective at Riverview is to always do what is best for the patient as well as their family. It is our intention to restore you to your highest level of functioning so you can return to your community and enjoy life. We focus on each individual as a whole, working with their problems within the broader scope of who they are as a person, their family and communities. This means each treatment plan is personalized to fit your specific needs. At Riverview we believe in making connections with you and any family members involved in your program plan. For individuals who have reached a stage that makes it no longer possible to be maintained in a home environment we work with families to provide education about possible alternatives and help them identify the best possible option to meet their loved ones need. We also understand how hard this decision can be and provide supportive therapy for families having difficulties transitioning loved ones into long term care.

We’re grateful to Channel 3 KTBS for helping share the heart behind our Light the Longest Night candlelight vigil. On one of the longest nights of the year, we gathered to honor lives lost, acknowledge the heaviness this season can bring, and remind our community that support is always available.

This night was about presence, compassion, and connection. Riverview remains committed to showing up, listening, and helping light the way for anyone who may be struggling.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to walk alongside us as we serve our community.

TEXARKANA, Ark. – On one of the shortest days and longest nights of the year, Riverview Behavioral Health lights the darkness with a candlelight vigil.

12/21/2025

On the longest night of the year, we gathered to bring light where it’s needed most. This evening was a moment to remember lives lost, hold space for grief, and remind anyone who may be struggling that they are not alone.

Light can be as simple as showing up, standing together, and choosing compassion. Riverview is here to listen, to support, and to help light the way forward.

Riverview staff coming together once again to celebrate another Christmas—sharing laughter, connection, and the spirit of the season. We are so grateful to Colleen, our CEO, for the thoughtful gifts and for creating the opportunity for us to gather, reflect, and enjoy time together as a team.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Warm Hands, Warm Hearts drive thru today. Your presence, smiles, and kind words meant more than you know.

This event was about more than giving out care packages. It was about showing our community that we care, that we are listening, and that we are committed to showing up in meaningful ways.

A special thank you to Randy Sam’s Shelter for allowing us to drop off gifts and extend this outreach even further.

We look forward to continuing community outreach efforts and creating more opportunities to connect, support, and serve. Riverview is here to help, and we are proud to be part of this community. 💙
