Opening this box held two truths at the same time.

There was joy… knowing we get to place more of Carmen’s books on the shelves at Serendipity so they can reach new therapists, children, and families. Her stories continue to do what she always did so beautifully—help children feel seen, brave, and understood.

And there was grief… because every page also reminds us how much we miss our Carmen.

Her voice, her wisdom, her laughter, and the way she poured her heart into this field and into all of us.

But the beautiful thing about stories is that they keep speaking long after the author is gone.

So today we unpacked these books with full hearts—grateful that her words, her teachings, and her love for children will continue to live on through every reader who opens them.
