HEARD Inc. is a peer-run RCO offering hope, support, and resources to those in recovery.

Through peer mentoring, outreach, and housing, we help individuals rebuild lives and strengthen our community. Philosophy:
Helping Every Addict Recover Daily (HEARD) recognizes individuals with persistent mental illness, chronic substance abuse, and intellectual disabilities. HEARD is aware that substance abuse disorders are multidimensional and therefore focus on the biopsychosocial model to incorporate skills and supports that are strained due to the individual's inability to function effectively within their natural environment. Today we know that addiction is a chronic health condition that is preventable and can be treated. Purpose:
An Addiction Recovery Support Center creates an environment where Peers can enhance their long-term recovery through Peer support and self-direction. The facility is run and supported by Peers who have been successful in their own recovery process, embodying a powerful message of hope, as well as experiential knowledge. HEARD Peer Center can effectively extend the reach of treatment and clinical settings, bridging peers to their community. Utilizing the eight dimensions of wellness as proposed by SAMSHA, we will honor all pathways of recovery.

Together, We Can Make Their Holiday Feel Like Home.

We’re excited to bring holiday cheer to the amazing senior citizens we’ve adopted at The Cottage and The Retreat at Kenwood with about 160 wonderful individuals, we want to ensure they feel remembered and cherished this season.

Many of these seniors often go without Christmas joy and sometimes feel forgotten. This year, let’s make sure they have something special to wake up to!

We’ve created an Amazon wishlist with items that will bring smiles to their faces. If you’d like to contribute, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

We were so busy Sunday we didn’t get a chance to take many pictures. It was a great turned out for the community.

We got a head start on cooking the soup for tomorrow. We were able to make vegetable beef soup and taco soup. Thank you all who helped with donations.
