Meet ✨ Dr. Lucy (Seung Mi) Oh,✨ one of our amazing Chief Residents!

🎓 A graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Oh has been a longtime member of the Montefiore Einstein community.

✅ What do you enjoy most about anesthesiology? "How mentally stimulating it is to consider the patient's physiology and the pharmacology given the patient's medical history and their surgical needs. Also being able to do procedures."

💉Favorite rotations: "Cardiac and Pain - for different reasons. Cardiac rotation is when we get to see the most interesting surgeries - from valve replacements to lung transplants. We follow up with the patients post-op and seeing them recover after an open heart/bypass is rewarding. Pain rotation is a change of pace from what we do in anesthesia. Watching different outpatient pain procedures and seeing the patients return with improvement is also quite satisfying."

📱 Advice for new interns & residents: "Reach out! Help is only one text or phone call away."

🏥 After completing residency, Dr. Oh will begin a Chronic Pain Fellowship.

🧩 When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Oh can be found playing board games, going to escape rooms, or doing any other type of brain-stimulating activities!

Meet ✨ Dr. Danielle Nogoy,✨ one of our 2025-2026 Chief Residents!

🎓 Dr. Nogoy is a graduate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School

🏥 What makes Montefiore's Anesthesiology Residency Program unique?
"We take care of very sick patients and gain exposure to a variety of challenging cases early on. We also have many opportunities to build graduated autonomy as we move along through training."

💉 What do you enjoy most about training at Montefiore?
"The people that I work with! They are the ones that make it enjoyable for me to come to work each day."

🫀 After graduating from Residency, Dr. Nogoy will continue her training at Montefiore Health System as one of our Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesia (ACTA) Fellows!
"Our Cardiac attendings made my Cardiac rotation such a great experience, and I love cardiac physiology and taking care of medically complex patients undergoing cardiac procedures. I'm looking forward to further honing my skills to take care of some of the sickest patients in the hospital, learning echo, and working closely with our cardiac faculty."

🌊 When she's not working, Dr. Nogoy enjoys traveling with her husband - especially snorkeling, surfing, whale watching, or relaxing on the beach - anything around the water!
