SBEHS has launched its Family - Community page!! We hope to keep you informed of both program and co

SBEHS is a free and voluntary home visiting program which provides an array of services to the South Bronx community. We engage families in weekly home visits until our children turn age three. Home visits focus on supporting the child's learning in the context of parent-child relationships and play activities. Other services provided include, Health Screenings, Nutritional services, Parent-Infant/Parent-Child play groups, and on-site Mental Health services and support.

We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to our social work interns for their commitment to our program and its families as part of their education journey. They completed approximately 85 home visits, co-facilitated at least 14 play groups and have left a lasting impact with the parents and children they served. Congratulations!!!!

Quisimos expresar una gratitud profunda a nuestras estudiantes por su dedicación al programa y sus familias. Juntas cumplieron aproximadamente 85 visitas al hogar, mínimo 14 grupos de socialización y han creado muchos momentos inolvidables entre padres y sus hijos!! Felicidades, chicas!!!

We are so proud of our Policy Council member, Ms. Rogers for her contributions to the discourse around reducing maternal mortality in New York State. Here she is encouraging people to attend sessions and share their voice!

Wrapped up our last Policy Council meeting of the year and planning for 2019 is on it’s way! Sharing our gratitude for these parents who give of their time to support the program in operating its best. From left to right we have a scientist, a human services professional, a medical assistant, an entrepreneur, and a licensed childcare provider. Thank you for your service and leadership!!

Terminamos nuestro última reunion del concilio de el año y empezamos planificación para el 2019! Queremos expresar nuestro agradecimiento a estos padres voluntarios que contribuyen con su tiempo e ideas en apoyar a que el programa logre en funcionar a su mejor capacidad. De izquierda a derecha tenemos a una científica, una trabajadora de servicios humanos, una asistente medica, una empresaria, y proveedora de cuidado a niños. Gracias por su servicio y liderazgo!!!

This year, we successfully transitioned 14 children into Head Start or some other pre-school setting. Here we are seen celebrating along our Early Head Start stars ⭐️ and their families. We hope that their time spent playing & learning, receiving support and guidance serves them well in the next phase of their journey! ❤️

Este año logramos transicionar 14 niños a Head Start o otra ambiente preescolar. Aquí nos vean celebrando a lado de nuestras estrellas 🌟. Esperamos que el tiempo que pasaron jugando y aprendiendo, recibiendo apoyo y dirección, les sirven bien durante esta nueva etapa que comienza! ♥️
