Even elite athletes deal with injuries, fatigue, and the wear and tear of competition.

Recovery becomes more challenging as athletes get older and competition intensifies. For many professionals, therapies that support tissue repair and recovery can play an important role in staying in the game.

By delivering oxygen under increased pressure, HBOT helps push oxygen beyond the bloodstream and into tissues throughout the body. This process supports cellular function and promotes healing in muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

According to the American Diabetes Association, approximately 20% of diabetics will need an amputation due to a non-healing diabetic wound.

However, when Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is added to the wound treatment protocol, 87% of those amputations can be avoided.

After a traumatic birth injury caused a hypoxic brain injury and stroke, Hannah’s family began searching for therapies that could support her recovery.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) works by delivering 100% oxygen under increased pressure, allowing oxygen to reach tissues throughout the body more effectively. Treatments are typically done in a series of sessions over several weeks to support healing and cellular function.

For Hannah, her family noticed meaningful changes. She became more relaxed, more alert, more vocal, and her response time improved. Over time, her overall level of function improved compared to where she started.

Every child’s path is different, but stories like this are why many families explore hyperbaric therapy as part of a broader rehabilitation plan.

Breathe in. One session at a time.

With Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, we provide oxygen to the entire body by putting you in a chamber under pressure (roughly 15 pounds per square inch). This pushes oxygen not just into your bloodstream, but to all of the tissues in your body to promote healing to help your cells function better.

How HBOT Supports the Brain 🧠

The brain depends on oxygen to carry out every repair, signaling, and regulatory process. HBOT works by increasing the amount of oxygen dissolved in the bloodstream under controlled pressure. This enhanced oxygen delivery supports the body’s natural repair mechanisms and healthy neurological function.

HBOT is often used as supportive care for:

• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Stroke (CVA) recovery
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline
• Post-concussion syndrome
• And related neurological conditions

Plastic surgery recovery isn’t just about patience — it’s about oxygen.

HBOT may support:

✅ Faster incision healing
✅ Less swelling and bruising
✅ Reduced infection risk
✅ Improved scar outcomes

In some facelift recovery studies, patients receiving HBOT healed in ~13 days vs ~37 days for controls.

Proper oxygenation can make a measurable difference.

What is HBOT like, really?

You relax in a pressurized chamber and breathe 100% oxygen at 2–3x normal atmospheric pressure.

That increased pressure allows oxygen to dissolve more deeply into your blood plasma, reaching tissues that struggle with poor circulation.

More oxygen at the cellular level = improved healing conditions.

PTSD recovery isn’t always a straight line. But for some veterans, oxygen may be part of the breakthrough.

A randomized controlled study in PLOS ONE found that veterans with PTSD experienced significant improvement in symptoms and measurable changes in brain activity after hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

One of our own patients, a military veteran, recently completed 40 HBOT sessions. Today, he reports he’s no longer experiencing PTSD symptoms and is no longer taking medication.

Stories like his matter.

A major study published in The Lancet eClinicalMedicine found that hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivers long-lasting relief for patients suffering severe late effects of pelvic radiation.

Symptoms like incontinence, bleeding, and chronic pain.

Patients who completed a standard HBOT course (90 minutes, 30-40 sessions) experienced dramatic improvement that held steady for at least five years. Many went from planning life around bathroom access to returning to fully normal daily activity.

Studies like this underscore the real potential to restore quality of life after cancer treatment.

Hyperbaric oxygen treatment provides long-term relief for patients suffering from late radiation-induced injuries after treatment of cancer in the lower abdominal area.
