Veterans Day is a time to thank those that serviced. When they get out there’s many health hurdles they jump. The leading cause of death for veterans is heart disease as of 2019-2021. Together we can help those who served create healthy habits and fight off this disease.
Our top tips to avoid heart disease:

Looking to keep healthy nutrition? Aim for a Variety of Colors! There’s tons of options to keep your diet clean and flavorful!
Like:

Make a red sauce with fresh tomatoes (or canned tomatoes with low sodium or no salt added), fresh herbs, and spices.
Add diced veggies—like peppers, broccoli, or onions—to stews and omelets to give them a boost of color and nutrients.
