The Villages revealed in a video that the quaint, picturesque Cape Cod Seafront Boardwalk at Lake Sumter Landing will be replaced.

It will be converted to a recreation center type facility for dragon boats, kayaks and such. The wood boardwalk will be replaced with plastic composite materials to last forever.

Remember... it's not the sunset, "it's what frames it". So the cute Fishing Community look will be gone on the lakefront, replaced by structures and plastic.

So, if you like the scenic look of the way it is now and love walking and taking pictures of the sunset like I do… You have about 6 months before it is ripped out and then another 6 months of construction, [likely more) before the new sterile look is in. The Villages has a video of renderings of how it's going to look.

Walmart Superstore Grand Opening, on FL 44 in The Villages, is four times larger than the Buffalo Ridge and twice the size of Leesburg stores. The biggest display of Shower Poufs, a towering display of Manwich and more Cheese Balls than I have ever seen in one place [is there a theme here?). Almost didn't mention a wall of medications with a giant lighted The Villages sign.
