Our AFC Urgent Care center treats virtually any medical issue, including, but not limited to: Aches and pains Vomiting Pediatric illnesses Fevers Earaches Burns and cuts Rashes and bites Infections Sprains and breaks Coughs and colds It is important to note that urgent care is not emergency care. While we can handle many medical situations, you should still call 911 in the event of a life-threatening emergency.

This time of year, several respiratory illnesses can cause lingering symptoms, and knowing which one you’re dealing with matters.

Common illnesses we’re seeing include:

• Bronchitis – inflammation that leads to a deep, persistent cough

• Pneumonia – infection in the lungs that can cause fever, chest pain, and shortness of breath

• Whooping Cough (Pertussis) – severe coughing fits that make it hard to breathe

• RSV – especially tough on young children and older adults, often causing wheezing and heavy congestion
