Have you experienced a loss that’s left you feeling stuck, isolated, or unsure how to move forward? Whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or another painful life change, grief can touch every part of who we are. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

I’m Karen, a Grief Recovery Method Specialist with a Master’s degree in Psychology and a background in early childhood trauma, loss, and grief. My passion is helping individuals find healing and peace after life’s most difficult transitions. I also have a special commitment to supporting first responders, military service members, and their families as they face the unique challenges of trauma and loss.

My own journey with grief—losing both of my parents in consecutive years—taught me how deeply loss can affect us. During that time, my son introduced me to the Grief Recovery Method, and it changed the course of my life. The tools and perspective I gained inspired me to dedicate my work to helping others find hope and wholeness again.

The Grief Recovery Method is an evidence-based, action-oriented program designed to help you identify, process, and release the pain of loss. Together, we’ll create a safe, compassionate space for you to explore your grief and discover healthy ways to heal—so you can begin to live with greater peace and purpose.

I offer one-on-one sessions and small group programs, both in person and online. I currently serve clients in The Woodlands, Texas, as well as those nationwide through virtual sessions.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing, I invite you to reach out by phone, text, or email. You don’t have to walk this path alone—healing is possible, and I’m here to help you begin.

Thank you for being here. My name is Karen, I'm a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. I help people work through the pain, loneliness, and sadness associated with grief and loss.

There are over 40 loss events that can occur in one's life. From the death of a loved one, divorce, moving, loss of a job, loss of one's innocence, safety, pet loss, and many more.

It is my honor and privilege to help you. I'm grateful for those I've helped heal from many types of loss as well as years of being stuck in grief, which oftentimes is misdiagnosed and called depression.

If you are ready for an action based recovery work and are willing to commit to 8 weeks of work, then please reach out, and I will go over the program with you.

I'm available online or in person in Houston, Texas.

Pet Loss Grief Counselor
HONORING OUR ANIMALS

🚨 Who told you to stop talking about your soulmate pet?

🐾 As a grief counselor, I can tell you with certainty: you never have to stop. Talking about them isn’t “dwelling.” It’s love continuing to live in your voice.

💔 Silence doesn’t heal grief. Connection does. Every story you share keeps their presence alive, for you and for the world that got to witness your bond.

🌈 Your beloved is still yours. You’re allowed to say their name, tell their stories, and keep them in every conversation that matters. As much as you need. For as long as you need.

🧡 How do you keep your beloved’s voice alive in your daily life? Share below so others know they don’t have to stay silent.

National Grief Awareness Day

Grief isn’t just something you “get over.”
It isn’t neat, or tidy, or bound by time.

It shows up in waves—sometimes soft, sometimes so strong it knocks you down.
It lingers in empty rooms, in the silence after the phone doesn’t ring, in the moments you wish you could share but can’t.

Grief changes you.

Today, on National Grief Awareness Day, I want to remind you:
If you’re grieving, you are not alone.
Your love, your pain, your story matters.

And if you’re not grieving, look around—someone you know is carrying a weight you can’t see. Offer them gentleness, patience, and space.

Because the truth is, grief never really leaves—
and neither do the people we love.
