Especially true in this hyper-educated society where knowledge has replaced wisdom.
It’s easy to wade in the shallows an catch bits of knowledge but our younger generation has lost the work ethic to go deeper and search for wisdom.

Old one but funny

This is a funny illustration of how men should select a woman. Don't worry ladies, there is a section near the end for selecting a man as well. Very funny Cr...

While a male takes great pride in providing for his family (and that’s a great thing), his responsibility does not end there...

Substance is needed to inject a moral and spiritual discipline into the family.

I’m not talking about one-off talks.
I’m talking about a consistent, pouring out of blessing upon his home. A legacy his kids can pass down to the next generation (and use while they go through life. )

It’s easy to get into the routine of handing your kids a tablet and letting them sit in their room.
It’s easy to sit down and watch a movie together and call it “family time”.

You’re called to something bigger than that, man!

As leaders in the home, we may not want our spouse publicizing that things “aren’t okay” at home.
There’s a sense of embarrassment and failure that comes with your spouse not “being okay.”

To be honest, it’s selfishness.
Selfish in not allowing your wife to feel free in expressing herself to her family or close friends.

Don’t let her struggle alone. Yeah, she has you but when you are the issue she needs outside help.
Don’t be selfish.

High Reliability Man characteristic #3
Wisdom.
How do you seek wisdom? Do you even bother?
I'm not talking about reading blog posts or listening to podcasts. Although these can be helpful for information, that is not the same as wisdom.
Seek men who are in an advanced season of life.
Those that represent a family that lovingly thrives and has endured.
Find him and meet consistently with him. Allow him to pour himself into you.
The branch that is cut from the tree eventually dies.

High Reliability Man characteristics #2...Oversimplification.
He does not oversimplify, brush-off, or generalize circumstances or feedback he gets in the home.

it's easy to blow-off our kids when they come to us with a concern. How often have you said, "it;s not that big of a deal."

Or...

To your wife: "You are exaggerating. Don't be so dramatic.."

It really may not be, to you...BUT to them...to them it is a big deal.
Treat them as if what they say is the most important thing you have heard all day because it's not about you...

Many males aren’t ready to be men...

They certainly don’t want the responsibility of being a husband and father. (Once they realize what that really looks like).

My free ebook is based on characteristics used in High Reliability Organizations and tied into a greater purpose as part of our design as men.

Simply my contribution to the men our women want and the fathers our children need.

Used in small groups.

and the men our nation longs for...
