Flu season is upon us! We encourage everyone, especially our patients who are pregnant to get their annual flu vaccine. Due to a problem with our supplier, our office WILL NOT be offering the flu vaccine this year. However you may get the vaccine at your local pharmacy.

Attention Blue Cross Blue Shield patient’s of Dr. Tara Winkelmann:

Please be advised that BCBS sent letters out stating that Dr. Winkelmann is out of network with BCBS, this was an error on their end.

We are working directly with a representative with BCBS to get this rectified as soon as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but please know we are working diligently to rectify this error.

Exciting news for our UnitedHealthcare patients.

Houston Methodist and UnitedHealthcare have reached a contract agreement, ending a months-long stalemate over whether 100,000 UnitedHealthcare members could use the hospital’s services at lower in-network rates.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, we will be changing our office hours. We will be closed on Fridays starting the week of March 30th. This is temporary and we hope to be back to normal hours soon! Stay safe!

Due to continued concerns over the Covid-19 Virus, visitor restrictions at medical facilities are changing daily. The following office restrictions are now in place:

* Patients are only allowed to have one other person present with them for a pregnancy confirmation or ultrasound appointment. Visitors are NOT allowed for any routine obstetric or gynecologic appointment.

* No one under the age of 18 is allowed in our office unless it is the patient herself or her spouse/significant other.

* No one who has traveled out of the country or the state in the past 14 days is allowed in our office.

* If you have fever, cough, upper respiratory infection and/or flu-like symptoms please call and reschedule your appointment.

These restrictions will be in place immediately and continue until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience but patient and employee safety is our first priority.
