October is AAC awareness month! 🕸️🧡🎉
This is a great time to recognize, learn, and celebrate the many different ways people communicate.

What is AAC?
AAC stands for “Augmentative and Alternative Communication.” AAC is an umbrella term for all the ways people communicate besides speaking. This includes sign language, gestures, picture boards, and speech-generating devices. AAC can be helpful to anyone who has difficulty with communication. They do not have to be non-verbal to benefit from AAC.
