Love was in the air in Worland today! ❤️

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with a wonderful party filled with great food, laughter, and creativity. Lunch featured Maple Dijon glazed pork loin, fresh salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, and delicious strawberry cake for dessert.

Participants enjoyed several rounds of Valentine Bingo, some friendly table hockey competition, and, with the help of staff, created some truly impressive Valentine’s boxes.

It was a day full of smiles, fun, and sweet memories! 💕

Meet Michael “Mike” Willard — a valued member of the Big Horn Enterprises Board 💙

👤 About Mike
Mike is a Home Inspector and serves as Board President. He’s been married to his college sweetheart for 44 years and is the proud father of two daughters, Missy and Joy. Missy was a client of BHE for many years and, though she passed away in 2014, her impact continues to guide Mike’s commitment and service.

💼 Professional Background
Mike brings a wide range of experience to the table, including sales, marketing, fundraising, skilled trades, safety, and law enforcement. His personal journey as a parent of a child with disabilities deeply shaped his perspective and ultimately led him to join the BHE Board in 2015—to honor Missy’s memory and give back to an organization that meant so much to his family.

🤝 On the Board
Mike contributes strong organizational skills and a unique parent/guardian viewpoint. He values the diverse perspectives of fellow board members and believes those differences strengthen decision-making and leadership.

🎨 Beyond the Board
Outside of work, Mike is a wood carver, former competitive BBQer, and an accomplished pencil and ink sketch artist. His favorite book is Illusions by Richard Bach, and his favorite place to travel is anywhere he can be with family. Fun fact: Mike once toured Europe with a semi-professional Bavarian dance troupe! 🕺

Wyoming State Senator and gubernatorial candidate Eric Barlow recently stopped by the Big Horn Enterprises facility in Thermopolis for a tour, where he spent time meeting staff and participants and learning more about Home and Community-Based Waiver services. The visit offered a chance to share how these programs support individuals with developmental disabilities in living full, community-based lives, while also highlighting the day-to-day work and positive impact BHE and their staff has across the region.

Thank you Senator Barlow for taking the time to meet our participants. They truly enjoyed your visit.
