Husbands’ performance headlined a dominant sprint showing for TRST.
⭐️The Husbands family continued to make its mark as Jonathan Husbands (15) delivered a breakout meet, earning runner-up finishes in the 50 Freestyle and additional podium placements, dropping time and establishing himself as one of the state’s top young sprinters.

The Senior State results demonstrated the growing strength of the TRST program, particularly in sprint freestyle events where multiple swimmers achieved Sectional-level times or significant progress toward national-level qualifying standards.
Combined with the team’s strong showing at the Age Group State Championships, where younger swimmers produced over 140 personal best swims, the program continues to build a strong pipeline of talent from developing athletes through senior-level competitors.
“The performances we saw at both Age Group and Senior State Championships reflect the dedication our swimmers bring to training every day,” said Coach Fletcher. “Seeing athletes achieve personal bests, earn podium finishes, and reach Sectional-level standards shows the direction our program is heading.”
With continued growth across all age groups and a growing presence at the state championship level, the Thibodaux Regional Swim Team continues to establish itself as one of Louisiana’s premier competitive swim programs.
