🌹 Weekly Sip — The Crowing of the Rooster

As I sipped my rose tea this morning, my rooster crowed loudly as the sun began to rise.
In that moment of prayer, I felt a deep realization — how powerful our emotions are within our bodies.

The crow of the rooster is more than a sound.
It is a reminder of a new day…
and of the breath itself.

With every inhale comes a longer, audible exhale — releasing, letting go, bringing clarity.

In preparing for class, I noticed how the previous weeks felt like early spring.
Our practice reflected the rising Wood energy — the gentle stirring of life — while the waters of the Kidney, the deep winter yin, warmed beneath the surface, nourishing the rise.

Because of this, our movements leaned more toward purging than simply nourishing — releasing locked emotions, easing inflammation, restoring harmony where the body had held emotions.

And the reminder that came to me today was simple:

It does not take long.

Just a few gentle moments of breath and presence can help us release what is no longer beneficial —
Sadness, grief, worry, doubt, anger,
the fear we carry from the world,
the looping of the intellectual mind,
the heaviness of trying to understand every moving piece around us.

We do not have to live in that space.

With a short, mindful practice, we can return to clarity —
opening our hearts to the rooster’s crow,
the songbirds,
the rising sun,
the quiet grounding of the earth beneath us.

Today is a day of grounding.

Allow the brilliant heavenly light to wash gently over your body.
Inhale the yin energy rising from the earth through your feet.
Let harmony, vitality, and presence return to this moment — because this breath, this sunrise, this sound… is all we truly have.

The rose, the birds, the morning crow remind us to soften, to smile into our hearts, to remember that healing begins within.

When we transform our inner alchemy, it naturally moves outward into the world around us.

So today, with every breath and every crow:

✨ Inhale — receive the golden light.
✨ Exhale — release what no longer serves.

And rest in the beauty of this moment, and all the moments that follow.

With love,
Nan

🌹 Weekly Sip — Remembering the Heart Resonance

As I sip my rose petal tea this morning, reflecting on the first weeks of the Heart Path and the closing of the Intuitive Mind class, Rose reminds me of something simple and profound:

I was leading my morning from my inner critic, instead of gratitude I have been feeling in my heart.

And when I return there — to heart resonance — something shifts.
There is access to a wider field of knowing, a deeper well of presence that does not arise from fear or from the constant looping of the intellectual mind.

Our journey through Qigong, breath, and the Heart Path is not about abandoning the mind.
We need our intellectual mind.
We need our survival mind — the part that helps us navigate daily life, make practical choices, and keep us safe.

But when those voices become the only guides, we forget the quiet wisdom waiting beneath them.

The rose within the heart has always been there, unfurling patiently.

She reminds me that when we approach life from heart resonance, we meet situations differently.
We meet people differently.
We meet ourselves differently.

There is more clarity.
More peace.
More spaciousness.

Even prayer becomes deeper when we allow the heart to lead rather than the mind to analyze.

This week, I realized that the first four weeks of this journey were not about teaching something new — they were about remembering something ancient:
that living from the heart is a living practice, unfolding one petal at a time.

So today, if the mind begins to loop — whether through worry, planning, or overthinking — pause.

Place a hand over your heart.
Breathe softly.
Ask your heart what it knows.

Notice how it feels.

Imagine meeting each moment from that space — guided not by fear, but by presence, compassion, and quiet knowing.

Because when we live from heart resonance, we do not just change ourselves.

We change the way we walk in the world.
And that is how healing begins — one breath, one encounter, one choice at a time.

With love always,
Nan

Weekly Reflection — 🌹✨❤️🌀🌿🙏 Remembering the Language of the Heart

As I sip my rose petal tea, sitting in prayer and meditation, I open my heart to this beautiful day with gratitude — for the air I breathe, the petals floating in my cup, the water that nourishes, and the fire that warms.

Rose reminds me of something simple, yet powerful:
the healing that lives within our everyday, moment-by-moment choices — our thoughts, our actions, our memories, and the way we show up in the world.

As I prepare for this week’s gathering, I am reminded that awareness gives us choice.
Choice in how we speak.
Choice in how we walk.
Choice in how we respond, how we think, and how we listen.

Within each of us lives the conditioned mind — the survival and intellectual mind shaped by years of experience. These parts of us are not wrong, we need certain aspects of them. When fear, sadness, judgement, lower density vibrations arise… give them gratitude, thank them and set aside.

Our heart-mind waits patiently — our true inner compass, our quiet center, she has been waiting to open, to bloom so we can live our lives in peace, traquility, compassion, kindness, in oneness.

When we become aware of the conditioned voices, we can soften their hold and allow the rose of the heart to unfurl, one petal at a time. In that remembering, we see how the choices we make — especially the words we speak — ripple outward, shaping not only our own lives but the world around us.

This morning, as I built my fire, gathered my tea, let the dogs out, and offered gratitude to the Heart of the Sky and the Heart of the Earth, I reflected on the many moments when I did not lead from my heart — the could-haves, the should-haves, the what-ifs.
I gave thanks to those moments, and gently invited my heart resonance to lead again.

I invite you now to pause.
Place your hands over your heart.
Breathe.
Feel what it is like when your heart becomes your guide.

The Heart Path journey invites us to walk this remembrance together — spiraling with the rose from thorn, to bloom, to the quiet wisdom that lives within our dreams and visions.

With love always,
Nan — rooted in earth, blooming in spirit

🌹 Weekly Sip — Day of Hearts

As I sip my rose petal tea on this blessed day of hearts,
I am reminded that love is not only something we give to another —
it is something we return to within ourselves.

Today can be a day of kindness,
of hugs and compassion,
of sending peace, love, and joy not only to those close to us
but to the earth herself —
our shared home.

However you meet this day —
with flowers, candies, quiet reflection,
with friends, family, or the love of your life —
remember that when you truly love yourself,
you create space for others to do the same.

Our hearts are like the living earth.
Deep within her is magma —
not a fire that burns,
but a sacred warmth,
the dreaming force that shapes mountains and visions alike.

So it is within us.

Crown lifted to the heavens in the north,
feet rooted in the southern soil,
arms stretching east and west like branches of a great tree —
and at the center,
the glowing heart,
the living fire of compassion.

When we honor ourselves,
when we walk gently with the earth
and speak with kindness through our breath, our words, and our actions,
we send love outward into the world.

May this day of hearts be a reminder
that love is a living practice —
spoken, breathed, and embodied.

With love always,
Nan Yu’lu

🌹 Weekly Sip — Reflection

As I sit with my tulsi and rose petal tea — rose for calming, tulsi for clarity — I find myself wondering about the many voices moving through the world right now. Videos, comments, support, judgment, righteousness… perhaps even fear.

My reflection today is simple: you don’t have to look very far beneath the surface to understand the deeper meaning of what is being shared. Watch what unfolds over a week or two. Listen not only to the words, but to the energy behind them.

Life is rarely black and white. Some decisions are made in protection — of a mother, of a victim, sometimes even of a child. Not all circumstances are visible from the outside, and none of us walk another person’s path.

In my own journey, I have come to see certain moments not through the lens of condemnation, but through the language of sacrifice and forgiveness — recognizing that human beings act within complex stories shaped by fear, survival, and hope.

Some words, to me, belong on the table of uncompassion. They close the heart rather than open it. And when we speak from a place of certainty that places us above another, we risk forgetting the quiet truth that none of us knows the full story of another soul.

My practice this week is simple: look within. Return to the heart. Let compassion become an action, not just an idea. Because what appears black and white in the world often reveals itself to be something far more layered — and love asks us to listen before we judge.

Discernment 🙏❤️🙏

As I sip my rose tea—calming, heart-opening—and pause to breathe, I feel the weight of a collective moment still moving through my chest.

After one of the largest family gatherings of the year, messages linger. They always do. And they are received differently by each heart—filtered through belief, experience, wounds, and hope.

What I felt most strongly was not anger, but grief. A grief that so many of us are searching for a voice, a leader, a sign of change—something that feels tangible and trustworthy.

As I sat in discernment, what became clear to me was this: not all words need repeating. Especially when children are listening. Especially when families are gathered. Especially when so many hearts are still healing.

Words carry energy. Sound carries memory. And for those who have been harmed, certain words do not heal—they reopen.

Even when messages end with symbols of forgiveness, the meaning can become mixed when responsibility and gentleness are absent. Forgiveness, for me, would not look like pride or performance, but a quiet vow to never speak words that harm again.

So I hold this sip as a prayer. A prayer that we remember to listen from the heart rather than conditioning. That we choose stillness over volume. That we honor what nourishes life—especially for the children among us.

May our hearts remain open.
May our words be kind.
May our discernment be guided by love.

Weekly Sip🌹✨❤️

Sitting in Prayer this morning, opening the thorns of my heart, unfurling the petals of the rose, my prayers come from deep within my heart that I may live this life from my heart-mind, my intuitive mind, in heart resonance, where the past and the future fold together in the present. It is within the heart-mind as the ancients would call our intuition that lives the wisdom of the roots that grow deep within us through our ancestors, DNA, and life lived. My prayer is that I may live from this space in my heart resonance where intuition guides my footsteps, words and actions, anchored in love, compassion and peace. My prayer is that together, we learn to release the hold that the intellectual mind and the survival mind has in our thinking and action process.

When we begin to let go of leading with our trained minds, the left and right brain, so much of the intellectual mind, which is always striving, judgement, trained in thought, desires of the flesh, and our survival mind that generally is from a place of fear, grief, shock, anger, tuning these two minds down, to a low frequency in our body, allows us space and room to expand our intuition.

Opening the door to into our hearts we can see the beautiful rose, in her spirals, brimming with a fragrance that fills every corner of our senses. She offers beauty, she offers peace, she offers us gentleness. Her wisdom shows that life is a gentle spiral of growth and expansion, we have thorns for protective boundaries, of peace, of release, of letting go and allowing only in close what resonates with the heart. Her buds show us a new year, new beginnings of growth in our spiral and the Rose Hip that offers that nourishment of the past season.

My heart-mind. intuition, heart resonance opens brimming with light as I pray for the guidance of my heart, the wisdom of the rose and that the light of my intuition lead me on a journey of infinite possibilities that are ready to bloom fully, in breath, body and spirit. A living rhythm with Mother Earth and the Universe.

My heart is happy and fills expanded as I pray this and send this to you with love, peace and compassion from my heart as I sip my Rose tea.
With Love, Nan

🌿 Morning Sip — An Invitation into Qigong
As I sip my mugwort tea with rose petal honey, I am guided to share about our mind, body & spirit.
It is breath, how we take in life.
It is energy, of our bodies, heaven, and earth .
It is movement.
It thought and intention.
It is an inner transformation and a form of healing naturally.
It is not something that can truly be explained or measured. It can only be experienced.
The beauty of being human is that each of us is unique, and each of us will discover our own relationship with our own practice, an open mind and an open heart, you will find a deeply personal path of healing, how it effects those around you and how coming together in practice in community is so powerful it aids in healing the world.
In our practice, we will work with breath, movement, and the intentional mind — a tripod of balance and stability.
We are all born with the same basic body, and can all relate to fear, love, grief, disharmony, headaches, disease, through— movement, breath, and intention — we heal, we compost, we grow, we connect, and we remember together.
We will be guided by the rose and her companions, and you will be invited to keep a simple journal — noticing what you release, what you receive, and what messages arise.
I invite you to come and try it — at least for a month — and simply see how it feels. Many people notice something shift from the very first practice: something new, something subtle, something uniquely their own.
I hope to see you Wednesday.
With love and peace,
Nan 🌹

🌿 🌹The Heartfelt Sip — Compassion with Action❤️
As I sip my Tulsi Holy Basil tea on this chilly morning, reading from the Nag Hammadi texts and the Greek Gospel of Mary, I am reminded again that love and prayer are our way through healing.
Like many, I am holding a situation in my life that could easily be carried with frustration, disappointment, and sorrow — where time was taken, where promises were not fulfilled, and where others I care about were also affected. The heart could tighten around this. The mind could replay it endlessly.
But today, I am reminded of a different way.
I am reminded to hold all from the heart — with love, with prayer, with kindness, with compassion — even those who were entrusted, even those whose actions created the ripple.
To walk gently.
To walk gracefully.
To leave the door open.
Not because what happened is okay.
Not because it didn’t matter.
But because what is done cannot be undone, and only love has the power to transform what remains.
We cannot force change.
We cannot rewrite the past.
But we can choose how we walk forward.
So today I offer this:
Whatever in your life carries grief, or anger, or confusion, or longing for clarity —
offer gentleness.
Offer love.
Offer compassion.
And above all, offer prayer.
Trust that prayer is heard.
Trust that it ripples outward — even to those who were at the root of the path that was taken, and to all who were touched by its effects.
Take three slow, deep breaths.
With each breath, offer love, healing, and compassion to whatever in your life does not yet bring you peace.
And as you walk this road — choosing love instead of anger, compassion instead of division, gentleness instead of violence — imagine a rainbow of light rising from the earth, from your feet, surrounding you.
Feel each color illuminate the space around you.
Let that light spread outward into the world.
This is how healing happens.
This is how the world changes.
This is compassion in action.❤️🌹
