This holiday season, it's all about celebrating not just the festivities, but also the incredible staff that makes it all happen! Our amazing social services team really outdid themselves with the "Sleigh the Day" station, serving up delicious Red Bull, ice, and syrup that kept everyone energized and joyful. It's moments like these that remind us how important it is to appreciate our hard-working team.

What an incredible time we had at Thornton Care Center! The holiday spirit was alive and well as residents came together for a festive party filled with delicious treats like cookies, pizza rolls, and meatballs. Merry Christmas from Thornton Care Center! 🎄✨ The festive spirit was alive and well as our residents received wonderful presents, spreading joy and smiles all around. A special surprise from Reggie Claus brought candy canes, adding extra sweetness to the celebrations! A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing elves Gretchen, Becky, and Melissa, who dedicated countless hours to selecting and wrapping gifts for our residents. Happy Hanukkah from all of us at Thornton Care Center! This week, we celebrated the Festival of Lights, honoring the incredible miracle of the oil that lasted eight days after the Jewish people took back the holy Temple from the Greeks. Our activity director led a wonderful discussion about the significance of Hanukkah and the lighting of the menorah, bringing a sense of togetherness and understanding to our residents.

To add to the festivities, we shared delicious traditional Hanukkah foods, including crispy latkes and sweet strawberry donuts. Of course, we couldn’t resist a few rounds of dreidel, which brought laughter and fun to the day. It was heartwarming to see our residents engaging with a holiday they were eager to learn more about. Wishing everyone a joyful and meaningful Hanukkah!

With delicious food, fun cookie-making activities, and plenty of dancing, the atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter. It’s heartwarming to see our communities come together to celebrate this special season. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made the event a memorable one for all! Today, we take a moment to honor and celebrate all our residents who have bravely served in the armed forces. Your dedication, hard work, and sacrifices for our country do not go unnoticed. We are grateful for your commitment to protecting our freedom.

Additionally, we remember and pay tribute to our residents who served but are no longer with us. Their courage and contributions will always be cherished in our hearts. Thank you for your service and for the legacy you’ve left behind. Happy Veterans Day!
