This week, HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge joined Adams City High School for a distracted driving awareness event ahead of prom and the upcoming summer break.

During the event, our injury prevention team led STOP THE BLEED® training, reaching 1,250 students.

According to the American College of Surgeons, the number one cause of preventable death after injury is blood loss. Through HCA Healthcare’s network of 114 trauma centers, we’re proud to offer free STOP THE BLEED® classes that educate and empower our communities with the skills needed to respond to life-threatening bleeding emergencies.

We hope this experience leaves a lasting impression and encourages safer, more responsible driving habits.
