At Reaching HOPE, we believe that change starts at home.

Our vision is to protect future generations by empowering today's families to break the cycle of violence and build safe, peaceful communities together.

Every family we support, every child who feels seen, and every parent who finds their strength is a step toward a world where the next generation grows up free from fear.

That's the hope we are reaching for. And we are grateful to have a community that believes in it too.

🌸 Spring is in the air, and that's your sign to step outside!

As the days get longer and the sun shines a little brighter, we want to remind you to take a moment for yourself. A short walk, some fresh air, and a little Vitamin D can do wonders for your mood and overall well-being.

Healing happens in so many ways and sometimes, it starts with something as simple as feeling the sun on your face. πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈ

Take care of yourself this season. You deserve it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Reaching HOPE! πŸ€

This week, put down the screens and make some memories together!

Here is a simple and fun craft the whole family can enjoy: Rainbow Handprint Art 🌈

What you need: green, red, orange, yellow, blue, and purple paint, white paper, and a little creativity!

Have each family member trace or stamp their handprints in the colors of the rainbow. Then draw a pot of gold at the end together. Hang it up as a reminder that your family is the real treasure.

Not only is it a great way to bond, but creating together is also a wonderful way to support your child's emotional wellbeing and spark meaningful conversations. Because at Reaching Hope, we believe that strong families are built in the little moments. πŸ’™

Share your finished artwork in the comments, we would love to see it! πŸ‘‡β˜˜οΈ

Friday the 13th? We say it's your lucky day. πŸ€

Forget the superstitions! This Friday, March 13th we are flipping the script. Because at Reaching Hope, we believe that no matter what day it is, there is always room for hope, healing, and a fresh start.

Sometimes all it takes is one conversation, one resource, or one person in your corner to turn things around. That is what we are here for. So today, take it as a sign. Reach out, lean in, and know that brighter days are ahead.

What is something good that happened to you today? Share it below and let's spread some hope! πŸ‘‡βœ¨

Empowering families is at the heart of everything we do. Here is how we show up for you:

✨ Crisis Support. When life feels overwhelming, you do not have to face it alone. We are here in the moments that matter most.

✨ Case Management. We walk alongside families to connect them with the right resources, services, and next steps toward stability and healing.

✨ Parenting Resources. We equip parents and caregivers with the tools they need to nurture their children's mental and emotional wellbeing.

Every family has a story. We are here to help you write the next chapter with hope.

Parenting is one of the most important and challenging roles there is. At Reaching Hope, we believe that mental wellness starts at home.

Here are a few simple tips to support your child's mental and emotional wellbeing:
1. Create a safe space to talk. Let your child know their feelings are always welcome.
2. Stay connected. Quality time does not have to be elaborate. Even 10 minutes of undivided attention goes a long way.
3. Know the signs. Changes in mood, sleep, or behavior can be early indicators that your child may need extra support. Trust your instincts.
4. Ask for help when you need it. You do not have to navigate this alone. Reaching Hope is here for you and your family.

You are doing better than you think. πŸ™

The numbers speak for themselves. Here's the impact Reaching Hope made in 2025 through our Co-Responders Program.

When mental health meets community, real change happens. This past year, we showed up on the scene, in the community, and alongside law enforcement to make sure no one had to face a crisis alone.
Here's what that looked like:
πŸ’™ 120+ on-scene crisis support sessions
πŸ’™ 110 community members who received crisis support
πŸ’™ 295 community members who received case management support
πŸ’™ 50+ police officers trained with the Reaching Hope curriculum
πŸ’™ 120+ collaborations with police officers

None of this would be possible without the trust and support of our community and the officers who walk alongside us every day. Together, we are changing the way mental health crises are handled with compassion, dignity, and care. Here's to more impact in 2026. πŸ™

As February comes to a close, we want to end the month on a meaningful note β€” with you. πŸ’™ Self-care doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Sometimes, the smallest acts of care make the biggest difference.

Here are 5 easy ways to show up for yourself this week:
1. Rest without guilt. Give yourself permission to slow down. A nap, an early bedtime, or simply sitting in quiet counts.
2. Move your body β€” your way. A 10-minute walk, some gentle stretching, or dancing in your kitchen all count. Movement is medicine.
3. Nourish yourself. Drink that extra glass of water. Eat something that makes you feel good from the inside out.
4. Set one small boundary. Say no to something that drains you, or say yes to something that fills you up.
5. Check in with yourself. Ask yourself: How am I really doing? Journaling, prayer, meditation, or just a quiet moment of reflection can go a long way.

Self-care is not selfish β€” it's necessary. You deserve to feel well, whole, and cared for.

How are you practicing self-care this week? Share with us below πŸ‘‡

We're excited to introduce the heart of Reaching HOPE, starting with our co-founder, Dr. Ambra Born.

Dr. Born is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, and family survivors of complex trauma. With 20 years of experience, she has witnessed countless individuals and families overcome adversity and emerge stronger.

Ambra believes deeply in people's ability to recover from trauma and grow because of every life event.

She earned her PsyD from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2009 and works with culturally diverse families, including foster, adoptive, single, teen, and LGBTQIA+ parents and families.

Her vision created Reaching HOPE, and her commitment to healing guides our mission every day.

Stay tuned as we introduce more of our incredible team! ✨

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" β€” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On this day of service, we reflect on Dr. King's call to action and what it means for ending the cycle of trauma.

Healing isn't passiveβ€”it's an active commitment to showing up for those who are hurting and creating compassionate communities.

Service looks like:
Offering a listening ear to someone in pain
Advocating for trauma-informed practices in your community
Supporting organizations working to break cycles of violence
Simply showing up with compassion

Dr. King reminded us that we are all interconnected. When one person heals, we all move closer to healing.

What's one way you're choosing service and action today?

Empowerment: 2025 By The Numbers

Behind every statistic is a story of courage, resilience, and hope. Here's a glimpse at the impact we made together this year:
❗Over 4,765 individual, group, and family therapy sessions provided ❗Approximately 400 children and families supported on their healing journey
❗Over 150 Care Kits distributed to community members
❗Over 50 partner agencies collaborating to end the cycle of violence
❗Over 40 Trauma-informed training sessions provided to community members and other victim service agencies (police departments, government agencies, etc.).

These numbers represent real people - survivors who found their voice, families who discovered healing, and a community committed to breaking the intergenerational cycle of trauma.

But we're more than numbers. We're a community of hope, healing, and transformation. Thank you to everyone who made this work possible - our clients, partners, donors, and supporters. Together, we're creating lasting change.

Here's to continuing this important work in 2026. πŸŽ‰
