Amazing recipe for anti-inflammatory teas!
In Chinese medicine, what we call “inflammation” often shows up as heat, damp-heat, or toxic fire in the body.
Think: red skin flare-ups, fatigue that feels like wading through humidity, stiff joints that worsen with damp weather, or that “hot inside but cold hands and feet” imbalance.
Instead of just cooling inflammation down, TCM focuses on restoring function — clearing heat, transforming dampness, and strengthening your body’s qi so it can heal itself.
Here’s one of my favorite simple anti-inflammatory recipes that bridges East and West.
TCM Anti-Inflammatory Cubes (makes ~12–16 cubes)
Ingredients:
* 🥕 1 tsp Jiang Huang (Turmeric) — moves blood, opens channels, reduces pain
* 🌿 1 tbsp Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis) — nourishes and moves blood, supports recovery
* 🍬 1 tbsp Gan Cao (Licorice Root) — harmonizes, soothes, reduces toxicity
* 🫚 1 inch Sheng Jiang (Fresh Ginger) — warms the middle, aids digestion, moves qi
Instructions:
1️⃣ Blend everything with a splash of water until smooth.
2️⃣ Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.
3️⃣ Drop 1–2 cubes into warm water or tea anytime you feel puffy, tired, or inflamed.
These are a pretty effective recipe you can try out any time.
