Presenting Dryden Cardinals October Student-Athletes of the Month

Senior Cara Prusakiewicz ended her high school cross-country career with a bang. She broke Dryden’s high school record multiple times this season, qualifying her and guaranteeing her spot for states. Cara placed 12th in the state for Division 4, a job very well done. Well deserved, Cara! Your friends at DPT are proud of you!

Three sport senior athlete Rowan Handley had a standout game to end his high school football career. Rowan had six receptions for 150 yards and three touchdowns on offense. He added two interceptions and three tackles on defense. And to add to this spectacular athlete's portfolio, Rowan also takes college courses through Dryden’s middle college program. Rowan is setting an example for future Cardinals of what a true student-athlete looks like. Keep it up, Cardinals!

From Delia, one of our hand therapy patients:

"After breaking my right elbow, I lost almost all range of motion in my dominant arm. Simple daily tasks-using a fork, brushing my hair, getting dressed, sleeping comfortably, or even picking things up-became nearly impossible, and I had to rely on my husband for almost everything. When I started therapy with the DPT and OT team, they immediately designed splints tailored to my recovery, adjusting them as my progress improved.

"Through therapy, my improvements came step by step. My range of motion gradually returned, my strength increased as the exercises became more challenging, and I was finally able to do the daily tasks that once felt impossible. Over time, I regained my independence and the confidence that I could get back to normal life. What once felt overwhelming and out of reach slowly turned into real progress, and now I am almost back to 100%.

"What made my experience unique was the way the OT team cared for me throughout the process. They didn't just focus on the technical side of recovery--they took time to understand my personal goals and adjusted my treatment to match what mattered most to me. Their encouragement and dedication on even the hardest days made me feel supported every step of the way. It truly felt like a team effort to get me back to being myself."
