End-of-life doulas provide non-medical, holistic support and comfort to the dying person and their family, which may include education and guidance as well as emotional, spiritual or practical care. Each doula has their own skill set and works with a family to determine what their needs are.
Hope End-of-Life Doula Training
Our 24-hours of comprehensive instruction includes:
• 20 hours of in-class instruction
• 4 hours of online video presentations and webinars.

Teresa Wolf, RN
Instructor and Co-founder of Our Community House of Hope, Teresa has worked with hospice patients and their families for 25 years. She has a special passion for educating nursing students and volunteers in this specialized field for many years. Teresa is the author of the book,
Hope In Our Final Season.
Lisa Horner, RN, EOLD
Instructor and nurse in the field of hospice for 13 years. Prior to becoming a nurse Lisa volunteered for 2 hospice agencies and was an active volunteer at OCHH. In 2018 she became a certified End-of-Life doula.
