Dear Valued Patients,

Thank you for your patience with our closure and extremely limited service during the past few months.

We are pleased to announce a light reopening of our office, with strict adherence to social distancing. If you (and your household) aren’t experiencing symptoms, we encourage you to come in and get a tune up.

We will still be limiting our services for the time being, meaning there will only be one doctor treating patients in our office at any given time. We also continue to ask that patients wait in their car or outside until a couple minutes prior to their appointment, so as to reduce the possibility of patients crossing paths in the waiting room.

During reception hours, there will be one member of our staff working in our front office area, and you will notice the plexiglass shield between the front office and the waiting room. This is for your protection, as well as our staff.

We will continue our established practices of extra sanitizing between patients, working strictly separated, wearing masks and vigilant hand washing. We require that you wear a mask to your appointment. If you forgot your mask, a mask will be provided.

Reception hours (not a reflection of your Doctors treating hours) starting May 20th will be as follows:

Monday 10am -12pm
Tuesday 10am - 4pm
Wednesday 9am - 5pm
Thursday 10am - 6pm
Friday 3pm - 6pm

Please phone within this time frame to schedule your appointments. Alternatively, you may leave a message and someone will return your call ASAP.

We look forward to treating you soon, and will be smiling under our masks to see you again.

Please be safe out there. We wish you all the best and hope that you and your loved ones are doing well.

Important Patient Update Re: COVID-19

Effective immediately, we will be temporarily closing our office. We are currently planning to reopen on May 1st, but this date is subject to change, based on the status of the outbreak at that time. This decision is based on the latest advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention about the Coronavirus outbreak. We recognize our temporary closure is part of a greater effort being made to slow the spread and isolate the Coronavirus. We all have loved ones who may be at greater risk. Please do your part to flatten the curve, stay home and enjoy time with your loved ones.

If you have an appointment at Chiropractic Bodywork for a treatment within the period of our office closure (Wednesday, March 18th - Thursday, April 30th), your appointment is canceled and we will work with you to reschedule it.

We will be contacting all patients affected to reschedule their appointments.

Please know, your doctor wants to see you also. Doctors will be doing everything they can as soon as it is advised. Patients who will be losing appointments and/or are in acute pain will be our first priority to get back on the schedule.

During the period while our office will be closed, we will be checking our phone messages periodically. We will get back to you as soon as possible during this time, but it may take several days. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911, or head to your urgent care provider. If you need urgent chiropractic care, or to speak with your doctor during the time we are closed, please email your doctor directly.

Dr. Christopher Tosh - dr.chris@chiropracticbodywork.com
Dr. Suzy Drmandjian - dr.suzy@chiropracticbodywork.com
Dr. Cody SooHoo - dr.cody@chiropracticbodywork.com.

We will keep you updated as things progress.

Sincerely,
Chiropractic Bodywork

We should not try and fit the human frame and function into a "perfect" mold. However we can and should make efforts to establish a more neutral and balanced position within our own variation. There is not one perfect instead many variations of it, this is a beautiful example! Thanks Nicolette David for sharing.

There is absolutely no one size fits all squat position. If you don't believe me, you are in for a treat. This article will help show you why athlete comfort should dictate squat width, why people's feet point out (no matter how much "mobility" work they do), why some people have a really hard time…

A little perspective

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed..

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.' The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.
