I wanted to take a moment to share a little more about myself, my journey into massage therapy, and what keeps me inspired both in and outside of my career.
As a massage therapist, my work is so much more than helping people relax β itβs about connection, healing, and growth. These questions give a deeper look into why I started, what drives me, and some of the personal experiences that have shaped who I am today. πββοΈβ¨

**1. The story behind why I started massage therapy:**
When I was little, my dad used to massage me and my brother at the same time using wooden rollers β one in each hand. That was my very first experience with massage. Later in high school, before regional cross country meets, our coach had us get leg massages to prep for the race, and I learned that there were *different types* of massage depending on your needs. That fascinated me.
I bounced around a few college programs β business, graphic design, fashion merchandising, dental hygiene β but nothing truly clicked until I took an ergonomics class in dental hygiene. They talked about the importance of body care and regular massages, and thatβs when something lit up inside me. I switched paths to massage therapy, attended Orion Institute, and instantly knew I had found my calling.

**2. Three things I wish more people knew about me and my work:**
1. I truly *read* peopleβs muscles and energy β every massage is customized in the moment.
2. Massage has benefits no matter how light or deep the pressure is β circulation improves, stress lowers, and the body resets.
3. The human body is fascinating. I wish everyone learned more about how it works and how to care for it long-term.
---
**3. If you really knew me, youβd know that I...**..put my heart into everything I do. Iβm intuitive, empathetic, and I always want people to leave my table feeling seen, cared for, and renewed.
---
**4. Three things Iβm passionate about outside of work:**
1. Spending time with my daughter and our dog.
2. Enjoying quiet mornings with coffee, a book, or a trip to the library.
3. Being creative β crocheting, coloring, video games, anime, and learning new things just for fun.
---
**5. What keeps me motivated when things get tough:**
My clients. Seeing the relief on someoneβs face after a session β knowing I helped ease pain or stress β thatβs the most rewarding feeling.
---
**6. My biggest inspiration is...**
My daughter. Sheβs the reason I get up every day and push through hard moments. Iβve dealt with anxiety and depression, and she reminds me daily that thereβs a bright future ahead for both of us.
---
**7. If I could do it all over again, I would...**
Still choose massage therapy β but Iβd trust myself more from the start. Every detour led me here, and Iβm thankful for that, but I wish I had believed earlier that my curiosity and intuition were leading me to the right place.
---
**8. The most rewarding part of my journey has been:**
Meeting incredible clients, learning their stories, and watching people transform β physically and emotionally β through regular massage. Itβs a gift to be part of that healing process.
---
**9. A day in my life as a massage therapist:**
Every day is different! I prep my room with intention β music, lighting, warmth β then spend time with clients helping them find relief and peace. After work, I recharge with my daughter, my dog, or a quiet cup of coffee and a good show.
---
**10. The real reason I chose to work in massage therapy:**
Because it combines everything I value: caring for others, learning about the body, and helping people reconnect with themselves. Itβs not just a job β itβs something that constantly reminds me of the power of touch, compassion, and healing energy.
