Twenty years ago, John shared with his job coach that he wanted to pursue a job in the community. One thing John has always loved is movies, and thanks to the support and services he received, he was able to turn that passion into a meaningful job.
Seeing John on Saturdays, checking tickets, and savoring buttery, fresh movie theater popcorn is a reminder of how far he's comeโand how dreams can become reality with dedication and support. If you see him, be sure to tell him congratulations on 20 years in the movie theater business; his journey is truly inspiring.
This is a huge milestone. SCOC is so proud of you, John! As we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), we honor the resilience, determination, and incredible achievements of individuals like John.
